“Still the best”
Reviewed December 6, 2012

Several more visits to eat here this year, both lunchtime and evening. Standards are still fantastic, culminating in a great Chrixtmas meal last saturday night.....full blowout for £16.95....where can you beat that for quality and price ? Emma and John have a great thing going here, and I am delighted to see it being well used by locals and visitors alike.....reckon it's going to be difficult to get a table soon, as word gets around !!

“Great spot - well worth a visit”

Great food. Lovely atmosphere. Great spot for a bite to eat opposite the Church House Inn. The food is locally sourced, and the freshness speaks for itself. Roast dinners cant be beat.

“A cosy retreat from cultured cuisine”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

A lovely village restaurant, with no pretention. Take your own wine with no corkage charge, and fresh local produce simply, but expertly cooked. My scallops were hand dived the previous day and seared, just as i requested. Few restaurants in London could compete on quality, and none on price.

“Great service, excellent food!”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

Delightful place, thats unpretentious but comfortable. Eight of us went for a very enjoyable Sunday lunch, with a wide choice of excellent quality home cooked food on the menu., Friendly, efficient service, and food served on piping hot plates! Would highly recommend, and would certainly return again when we are in the area.
Thank you for looking after us so well!

“Great food in a beautiful village”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Emmas was recommended to us by stoke Gabriel lodgings. It exceeded our expectations and as a family of 5 there was wonderful choice for us all. Main courses included steak, fish pie, venison casserole and fish medley. All delicious and served quickly. The only comment would be that the setting is a little unusual as the restaurant is in a house and is not bustling. the atmosphere could be very quiet if there weren't other diners. On the evening we dined there were several other tables in which was fine. the food was delicious.
