We arrived late on a Friday evening to be met at the station by David; he had insisted that we should not take a taxi, he was more than happy to collect us. This level of care and helpfulness continued over the next two days.
The house is luxurious and has tremendous views over the Dart. Our room, though at the back was incredibly comfortable with a great wet room. A typical touch was the provision of fresh milk when making tea in the room.
The breakfasts are wonderful. First rate ingredients expertly cooked by David. Both David and Helen are friendly and helpful in a relaxed and reassuring manner.

Room Tip: The rooms at the front have lovely views and big balconies.

This has to be one of the best places we have stayed in, including hotels. Our hosts were very friendly & gave lots of useful advice on what to see locally & how best to get there. Our room was very comfortable & the breakfast was excellent. We have this on our " must revisit" list. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer.

Perfect accommodation, perfect hosts, perfect food. David and Helen welcome you into their beautiful home with warmth and humour. We were astonished at the quality of everything. The rooms are spacious and contemporary but very cosy and the balcony is a huge bonus. On arrival we were served a delicious cream tea in the fabulous sitting room, this was much appreciated and set the tone for a very enjoyable stay. We are returning in October and we cant wait.

Having just returned from a great weekend in Devon with my family I feel compelled to add to the other positive comments on this B&B. Recently built, the very high quality accommodation did not disappoint. The rooms are spacious, clean, well equipped and unlike others we have stayed at, had extremely comfortable beds. David and Helen are excellent hosts, assisting with their extensive local knowledge whenever they can. The catering was second to none. The central location is within easy walking distance of all of the village amenities. I would not hesitate to go back or recommend this hidden gem to friends.

Room Tip: All rooms are good.

Helen & David are great hosts - they make you very welcome from the minute you arrive. Stoke Gabriel Lodgings are newly built but very well designed and very tastefully put together. The bedrooms are spacious with plently of cupboards and draws; the beds are really comfortable and the bathroom superb (as is the lounge and dining room). Breakfast is cooked to order and nothing seems too much trouble for the Littlefairs. The steep driveway up to the property is a bit daunting but easily managable if you drive slowly. The location is ideal for visiting many local villages, the river Dart and Churston golf course.
Was there anything we did not like? No, nothing.............

............but if I really want to be churlish; we left a day early due to bad weather. Having paid the full amount David did tell us if he was able to re-let the room we would get a refund which was kind of him. However, as we missed out on two cream teas and two breakfast, a small refund might have been a good PR ploy, but this is really 'nitpicking' and would not in anyway detract from recommending the place to others.

Beautiful village and beautiful bed and breakfast. The standard of finish in the house is amazing and the rooms very comfortable and relaxing and appointed to a very high standard. Helen and David are very welcoming and helpful and the cream tea on arrival is just what you need after a long journey. It was particularly helpful to have some advice and suggestions when planning how to spend our day as the local knowledge made a lot of difference. This B&B does what it says on the tin!

Room Tip: Pick a room with a view and balcony!

Book this B&B if you want high standards, welcoming hosts and a great setting. My boyfriend and I stayed at Stoke Gabriel Lodgings and we were both very impressed. I had chosen it based on their website and location and wasn't disappointed in the least; it really lives up to appearances.
Our room was one of the nicest I have stayed in with a huge, comfy bed, lovely decor and a great shower room.
The breakfast was really tasty, served in their very modern and large kitchen/diner and David and Helen make a point of knowing each guest by name, so you feel as if you really are welcome in their home. The views and setting are lovely and I would highly recommend this B&B to anybody.

Room Tip: We had one of the large balcony rooms at the front.
