It's the only decent place to eat when in playa del este. Unless you REALLY dig ham
And cheese sandwiches. The place is great. They grow much of their own produce in their big garden. Slow roast the pork on a spit. The pizzas are cooked up fast in a big wooden oven that would give any Napoli style pizza place, anywhere, a run for its money. Interesting decor and a really nice patio. The service is brutal though. A waiter was asleep at a table in the restaurant as we waited 40 minutes for a pizza that should take 90 seconds. Seemed the kitchen didnt see the chit and the server fell asleep instead of checking on the rest of our food to come. The lady who works the cash is lovely however. She and the chef were apologetic but it took much prodding to find out what happened to our missing food while they scrambled to cover up their mistake. We were 1 of 2 tables too so it's not like the place was slammed. There is so little good food anywhere in Cuba, so it was still well worth the wait. Just don't be in a hurry and don't be afraid to be on top of "it".
