Nice, clean room with large bathroom

About a 3 minute tuk tuk journey from the bus station the guesthouse is located on the main road through Chiang Khong. The rooms are located up 2 or 3 flights of stairs and there is no lift. Our room, and I think all of the rooms, face the road and as such are noisy because of traffic passing through most of the night - including large trucks to and from China that use the crossing between Laos and Thailand.

The entrance to the hotel is an Internet cafe and wifi is throughout and decent. There is no breakfast facilities but next to the hotel, and under the rooms, is a 7-11 which is convenient but does mean traffic pulls up until it shuts.

The room itself was a good size and had a large double bed, fridge, tv (but no English channels) and wardrobe. The lighting in the room wasn't brilliant as it seemed quite dark even with all the lights on. The bathroom was large and clean with a separated shower (via a shower curtain) which means the rest of the bathroom doesn't get soaked.

Restaurants and bars are near the hotel up and down the street as are ATMs and banks. If crossing into Laos the border crossing was about 5 mins by car and both Thai and Laos immigration seemed efficient.

All in all I would stay here again for both an overnight before crossing into Laos and also for an extended stay!

Decided to stay in this one, after looking at some rooms in other hotels on the main street of chiang khon. This hotel offers spacious rooms, with good comfortable beds, good ac and tv, bathroom with shower that has its own space (not right above toilet),... We slept here for one night, coming from chiang rai, and planning on crossing the border to lao the next morning. Happy we did, it's very good value for money (bargained to 400 bath as it was already late in the evening)

This guest house is a good find for the money. Our double room was a good size and and bed had lovely sheets. The room had a bit of a view to the river and the TV reception was good.

Good wifi and there is a fridge and plenty of hot water. For a one night stay before crossing the broader, it really isn't worth paying anymore particulalry when this is such good value. Friendly front desk

There is a 711 downstairs but really no restaurants outside on the main street. It's best to have dinner at one of the riverside resorts. If you turn right outside the hotel, and go quite a way down the steet there is a couple. Also left and down the side street by the hotel you will find some.

I stayed here 1 night coming from Pai by public bus before crossing into Laos by slowboat. It is a very nice place to stay for the night.

I would say it is about a 5-10 minute walk from the busstation or a 20-30 baht tuk tuk drive. I paid 500 baht for a 'single' room, which was on the 3rd floor and was actually a very big room with a big and good double bed, tv with english channels, desk, chairs, a view of the Mekong and a big bathroom.

It is very clean, wifi signal is fast and good, and staff is friendly. Not much to do in Chiang Khong, but for a 1 night stay this hotel is excellent.

If you want to change baht into dollars, there is a gold shop just about 50 meters left if you exit the hotel.. Banks don't have dollars, but this goldshop has a fair rate. They don't advertise it, just ask for it.

We had booked Green Inn earlier and was glad to see that it looks as good as how its been advertised on the net. The hotel is centrally located right smack in the middle of Chiang Khong town with all the shops, 7-11 just around the corner.

We took the double bed wt air-con, paying 600Bht which is still relatively cheap considering the hotel is quite new, secure and very clean. Tho we agree with previous review that with the cool weather at Chiang Khong, the air con is probably an extra luxury that is not really a necessity.

We only stayed one night but would still recommend this place even for longer stay.

Room tip: Standard room is sufficient if just for a quick stay.
