“Great Variety of Food to Try!”

The staff was very good, variety of foods were nice too. You could order off the menu or eat off of the buffet. You couldn't go wrong either way.

“Noisy at night”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2013

The hotel was okay, food fine, but we happened to get a room that had a disco right outside. It had blaring music until after 3AM. When we got our wake up call the next day I told them about the noise. They apologized and said they had taken the discotheque to court the week before and they were suppose to turn the music down. If using this hotel, be sure and ask for a room on the quiet side.

“Be warned!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 12, 2013

This hotel is like a movie set: looks good on the surface, but is really a fraud! Our party had reservations for NON-smoking rooms and were all initially given rooms that reeked of cigarette smoke. Some had full ashtrays remaining in the rooms, even after being cleaned. Several of the bathrooms were filthy. There were long hairs in the tub, mold on the surfaces, and rust wherever there were metal fittings. All rooms were dusty. Management provided us with other rooms which were marginally better, but certainly not up to real hotel standard. The crowning insult, however, was that my wife and I got stuck in one of the elevators. None of the emergency buttons responded at all. Eventually, the doors opened and my wife leaped out immediately. When this was reported to staff at the desk, the response was unconcern and instructions to simply use the other elevator. We did not. We took the stairs for the remainder of our single night's stay! Meanwhile, the stuck elevator remained stuck and there was never even a sign posted warning other patrons about the problem.
Kenya is a 3rd world country, but hotel service is hotel service and we have stayed in other Kenyan hotels which held to appropriate standards.

“Disappointed”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2013

Merica has been my destination choice whenver in nakuru, but now not anymore. it looks Impressive from outside but get inside, the staff not understanding. the management seems not to coordinate with their nairobi booking office. i felt frustrated when i was told i cant a get a room even after booking with a confirmation number. the day i was having reservation i was told that there is no room but the day was told i cant get resrvation the rooms were available. i was kept waiting and communiaction with nairobi but at long last i did not get my resrvation as i had anticipated. Merica it is Good to coordinate the bookings and also talk nice to the clients.
