Traveled with wife, kid & parents. We were traveling from Bangalore to a town Chittapur which is an hour's drive from Gulbarga. Our stay was for a day. We inquired locally upon arrival & went to Hotel Aditya. The rooms are decent & clean but unfortunately AC rooms were not available. We went about further & settled for the Central Park but not before having a look at " Heritage Inn". Heritage Inn is quite a big place but not kept well & the locality looked creepy. They fortunately boast of a good restaurant which central park sorely misses.

Central Park has good rooms on the 2nd & 3rd floor but their lift is a suspect. Since we arrived early morning , the manager gave a suite room on the 1st flr where the rooms are just about ok. The "Suite" is name sake, since it is a slightly bigger room. The flush refused to work in the toilet but the manager was very accommodating by opening 2 rooms which were in front of our room. He also offered to change the room to the one in the 3rd flr once the lift was repaired. The lift broke down again the same day after we shifted. The room 307 was considerably bright, spacious & looked new. The toilet was clean & the AC very nice. The AC in the earlier room was nice too but this felt better.

Breakfast was included in our tariff & was very tasty. My parents are a little fussy about food & they were pleasantly surprised. The approach to their roof top dining area ( only tea/ coffee is served in the room) with a small pantry gave us basic but good food.

We had hired a taxi locally through the hotel & were charged Rs 2200/- for a day. We had agreed on the package since we thought the place where we were going was atleast a 100 km away & it appeared to a reasonable amount. Only after reaching the temple did we realise that we will overpay. Nonetheless the driver was really good - Lingaraj & the vehicle , an Innova excellent. Maybe someone could bargain better.

Gulbarga is a dusty town & can get boiling hot....try to get into Hotel Aditya , else stick to Central Park.

Its your no frills, decent place to stay for a town like Gulbarga. The staff are very cooperative and make an effort to keep you comfortable. Checking in early mornings is really easy. Its the interest the staff takes in the customer that makes your stay good.
Food I should say is average and the hotel lacks a restaurant. There is a one man pantry on the premises somewhere and he dishes out some food. But the quality is not that you will complain about.
