This is a resort with big rooms and bathroom, a very quiet place, located in the outskirt of Takoradi. The resort has a nice restaurant and pool area. The breakfast was good with good selection. The service was very good and they allowed us to check out late.

We stayed in the hotel and found the welcome warm, staff attentive and friendly. The rooms and bathrooms ( we stayed on two separate occasions) were clean and spacious. The gardens are beautifully presented and pool-side is excellent. The piped music to the pool-side wasn't to my liking, but that is simply a matter of taste.
Before we left for Ghana we checked with the hotel if we could pay in GB£ or US $, yes you can. But at the hotel the exchange rate is out of date; 2.0 cedi/1GB£, when the current Forex rate is 2.77/ 1GB£. We went down town to get the cedis!!

Room Tip: Pay with cash if you can!

Ghana in April is typically a very hot place to be especially for a Scotsman. So it was a great surprise to be greeted with a cold towel and refreshing orange juice. We were asked to wait at the pool side bar while the room got ready which was fine, smooth service and great drinks. Once we got our rooms, we were ushered there by a waiter who proceeded to show you around the room and made you make a few checks to ensure that everything was working as it should. After returning to the pool we took a bit of lunch which can only be described as excellent, i cannot fault the seafood!

My only criticism of this hotel would be the breakfast. Not even average. Your coffee was brought to you but that was it. Only buffet was offered with none of the items being cooked to order which was a huge dis appointment.

Such a shame as this place really gives you the first impression of being a luxury hideaway.

Room Tip: Facing the poolside

We stayed here for 2 nights on a quick visit to Ghana and found it extremely clean (even to the point that you could lean on anything outside and not get dirty or dusty), beautiful to look at with relatively good facilities - it looked like it had recently been refurbished too. We stayed in one of the suites upstairs in the main reception building and it was beautiful. We didn't eat at the restaurant but had breakfast both days - this sadly is limited and not too great but adequate - I can imagine if you were there a week it would get a bit boring. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance that are good - we ate at Captain Hooks and found the seafood really pretty good. We would definately stay here again or recommend to family.
