“Shame about "Brewers Fayre"”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

Check in was swift and easy for all of us. Our room overlooked the car park was spotless with a comfy bed. We looked forward to our stay. Very nice hotel.
We went across the car park to the Brewers Fayre. I was fairly quiet at about 3pm got served with a few drinks almost at once.

We had been advised to book a table for the evening as it can get busy. Noticed there wasn't many staff on in the afternoon but took it as it was just a quiet time. When we came back to fulfil our booking there was no "Greeter" and two long queues virtually out of the door. Looked inside there was only two members of staff serving drinks and taking food orders. Talking to people in front of us they had been in the queue for half an hour. Looking round the room there were lots of empty tables so not overly busy.

The problem was obvious just not enough staff. Seems the policy is that there's more profit keeping customers waiting, than getting more staff.
We gave up and found a nice little Bistro in Sheep St in the town centre. Very nice and free parking for two hours. Probably the same amount of time you would have been hanging round in the Brewers Faryre.

Opened in 2013 the rooms in this hotel are fully air conditioned and therefore much better than many for keeping out noise. Our room on the ground floor was very quiet - we stayed for three nights - the only thing different was that the double bed seemed smaller than the usual Premier Inn style and definitely not as comfortable. Staff very good and polite: breakfasts as usual good and well priced at the Brewers Fayre. Coming from the M40 easy to find, coming from the north, tricky!

Room Tip: Ground floor if you can.

Good nights kip only one draw back was the noise in the hotel so if you want a lie in you will struggle doors slamming etc a part from that spot on really hungry horse down the road about a ten min walk £4.99 for all day breakfast before noon didn't try the brewer's fayre only for drinks which were cheaper than other pubs near by

Just had a 1 night stop over at Bicetser en route to Southampton to take relatives to cruise terminal. New building, opened in February 2013, so as one would expect all facilities were in good order. Easy to find just off the main road, a little road noise in odd numbered rooms but this did not give us any problems and my wife is the lightest of sleepers. Rooms were spotless, food was acceptable and saved driving, slight problem with Whitbread meal deal wich we were told could be booked in the restaurant but this was not the case and reception did not have acopy menu to look at before booking bit since the restaurant only had 1 menu for the whole place this is perhaps not suprising.
All in all would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a stop over.

Room Tip: Even numbered rooms are away from the main road so should have no traffic noise

This is quite a new hotel, which helped, but I honestly thought I was the first person to ever stay in the room because it was that clean. I mentioned this to the chap on the desk when I left, expecting him to say that I was the first, but he said that's how they like all their customers to feel. The air con on a very hot weekend was so welcome, as was the 24-hour access because I was visiting Cornbury Music Festival (I don't enjoy camping) and I got back late every night after sitting around the camp site with my friends to the wee small hours.

One tip - the hotel is very new so don't rely on your Sat Nav if coming from the East. It took me to the petrol station and Burger King, but the hotel is about 100 yds away, hidden by trees. If travelling from the West, you can't fail to see it.

This Premier Inn is the same good standard as one would expected. Staff friendly and very helpful. The Brewers Fayre restaurant on site is pretty poor. If you can eat elsewhere I would advise to do so for the evening meal. Breakfast is OK though.

Probably the best Premier Inn I have ever stayed in. Parking - just outside the building. Reception friendly and efficient. Building is brand new and well thought out in terms of layout. Room of a good size and well equipped for a basic hotel, TV on a flexible bracket, bed comfortable, hair drier worked, shower good. Can't comment on food as I arrived late and departed early. Near the M40 - so makes a convenient stopover for work. Would almost give it an 'Excellent', except of for the lack of free wifi - will these people never learn that this is no longer an 'extra' in the modern world! A bit expensive for a Premier Inn, but a I assume that is simply local market demand at play.
