We stayed two nights and eat in the restaurant both nights. The hotel is a mile or two from the centre of Gland right on the edge of the lake (Lac Léman). It is just under a mile from the railway station. There is car parking in front of the hotel and 24-hour blue disc parking nearby.
Most of the rooms have their own shower but do not have their own WC so when booking ensure you choose whichever you want. There is a CHF 20 price difference at the time of writing. Many rooms look out over the lake so one can have superb views. The hotel's position away from main roads means quiet, peaceful sleep.
The restaurant is in three parts, firstly the area which is within the building used for breakfasts and in times of inclement weather. Beyond that there is a larger section which has moveable windows and awnings so not an enclosed conservatory but a haven away from any winds. Nearer the lake there are more tables which are out in the open and then there is a lawn for guests to enjoy. At the end of the lawn there are a few steps down to the small public bathing beach.
The speciality of the restaurant is fish, perche, fera and trout cooked à la maison or meunière for the perche. There is a good selection of local wines including several wines of the month.
On one of our evenings, a very sunny Saturday in June, we estimate that as many as 200 covers were served which gives an idea of the restaurant's popularity..
The owners and all staff were very friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate to return to this hotel.
