We stayed in one of the cottages,it was pretty old the fridge and stove where gold so let say 70's but it was really clean and had all we needed it had 2 bedrooms and a small kitchen, the bathroom was really tiny and I am quite tall and the toilet and shower gave me a pretty hard time but I did manage. if you are over 6 feet tall or you weigh more then 150 pnds forget going to the bathroom during your stay, now I don't know that all the cottages have such a small bathroom but that one #4 did.
All in all the service was good there food is excellent and whale watching there is the best and my bed was super comfortable,we built a fire outside and later that evening cooked up a couple of steaks and it was great. We spent 3 nights there and no noise just good old peace and quite.
It's a good place for family or if you just want to go whale watching and inexpensive too.

Room Tip: pick up your boat ride tickets for whale watching when you check in or when you reserve and you can...

We had a room that was very small, especially the bathroom. The walls are superthinn, you could hear EVERYTHING from the oither side. Breakfast not included but you could order it in the same location. We did and it was poor. The room was clean.

we booked with them as well as a Zodiac whale cruise
The Whale cruise was well organized and out of this world ,we saw belugas, and many different kind of whales up close. we loved seeing the seals as well.
as for the hotel it was clean , very small but we took it as an adventure and laughed about feeling the room move when our neighbors were moving in theirs. overall it was worth it as the breakfast was great and it was only for one night. Staff were very nice just don't expect luxury or room with a view and you'll be fine

We reserved two rooms by booking.com and we paid 125 $ per room. When we arrived we discovered that the rooms were like motor home rooms. Each room was 3.5 meter per 3.5 meter, bathroom included.
The walls are so thin that you can hear the people in the other motor home room breathing. The floor was in thin plastic and if a person walked in the other room, your floor vibrates.
All this can be accepted if you know that you are going to camp but it is not acceptable if you believe you are reserving a hotel or motel room. Furthermore 125$ for a small room in a motor home is too much.
The person at the reception: a blonde woman, was very unpolite. She looked she didn' t care at all of customers.

Never got a chance to enjoy anything about this place. After an incredibly long drive, we were looking forward to a hot shower and a good meal. When my husband went to check in, confirmation in hand, he was told that they 'lost' our reservation. The sign in the window said 'vacancy', so plan b was to book right then and there. No, try again, she said that the sign was wrong and pointed us toward the motel across the street. Good thing we didn't arrive late at night and find this out, then we would be really stuck. I would suggest calling ahead and making sure they didn't lose your reservation.

Nice room, just like at Grandma's (not to fancy, but does just fine); good restaurant, open at 7:30 AM (but they opened early to let us in from the rain!), sells tickets for the whale cruises, and provides shuttle service to and from the dock. Why go anywhere else? Wireless internet was just fine in the main rooms, not very good in the hotel room.
Definately a place to take your family.

Went there in August 2010 - I am sorry but the website wouldn't let me pick that time for the time of our trip, so I'll just put August 2011 instead, sorry!
Beautiful place, amazing view and a great culinary experience! Just make sure you ask for a room (in the main building, that is) with a balcony... I enjoyed for a week the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets one could wish for - coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evenings, watching the waters... Really, I can't wait to go there!
And be sure you try their mussels, they're to die for (not like at some extremely expensive restaurant we've been to, in Tadoussac, from where we left highly disappointed!)!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with balcony, to enjoy the wonderful view that the river has to offer!
