We recently stayed in one of the little cottages at this motel. We were 3 adults so we had reserved and paid for one room with a small living room that had a poull-out bed. Unfortunately, this is ot what we got. We did gt a little cottage but with only 2 double beds. It ened up ok but make sure you get what you reserved. Also, the restaurant is expensive and food portions leave much to be desired. We ate at the restaurant across the street at the Hotel/Motel Baie Ste-Catherine. Excellent food and service. Prices are within reason for a tourist area.

Room tip: Ask for a room with a view of the water. Some of these rooms offer your own bonfire facility.

This adorable little hotel is perched on a cliff over looking the vast Saint Lawrence river. Panoramic views from the cozy deck behind each bungalow or from the picture window in the motel units. We just loved it here, and stayed an extra night. The rooms are nothing fancy, but the location makes up for it. A comment from a happy couple in the bungalow next door summed it up: they were sipping a glass of wine on their private deck facing the river view, when we walked by. They looked at us and said, "on est bien ici...." which means, all is well here....An added bonus was the hotel's restaurant which has one whole side glass to see out. The food was very good. The "table d'hote" was 3 courses for a very reasonable price. One night we had local salmon caught in the river, and another night local trout. The front desk ladies were so friendly and jolly that they had us feeling welcome right away. We stayed there to be near the boats which take you up the fjord. They had an excellent deal where you got a night 1/2 price when you bought a ticket through them. since the boats leave from nearby Taddousak, most people stay there. We looked around, but there was no lodging in Taddousak with the view we had!

Room tip: The bungalows are fun !

Nothing fancy about the room, but it does have a great view. There are glider chairs and a walkway down to the Beach. Not really a beach for swimming, but... The managers speak English. The rooms are clean. I could not get WiFi in the room itself. Had to sit outside.

Room tip: Ask for a view of the bay.

A perfect location. We requested a room with a view of the water, and had the best with a small balcony. It was the last night in the season but they were very accomodating. The room was clean with a large bathroom but no real luxuries to it. The heating was fine but felt that the overhead heater lamp was a little bit pre-historic and unnecessary. The TV belonged in a museum but we weren't there to watch it. There was direct access to the beach below and in the summer would be a wonderful spot to stop off.

Noise from the road traffic could be heard through the night but was not too intrusive. Breakfast was adequate. The restaurant was closed but the cafe/B&B across the road was doing a roaring trade. The whale watching trip was only 1 kilometre down the road but by leaving the curtains open I was able to see a whale from the bed.

Room tip: Ask for a water view and away from the road.
