Arrived with a Titan group after a long drive. Were greeted by Barbara, (Guest Relations) and offered several welcome glasses of wine. Room was on first floor overlooking the bay. It was a delightful view especially as there was a large balcony from which to relax. Room 207 was light and airy with all mod cons. Small rather ancient TV, full sherry decanter and glasses on the table.
Small fridge with complimentary fresh milk and water provided. We even had a teapot! No a/c but not really needed, the ceiling fan coped OK.
Had an excellent lunch on the outside patio. My wife had a massage in the Spa Centre which she very much enjoyed. Lots of walks to go on. Little village on on side and a coastal walk with caves on the other.
The evening meal was also excellent and we finished off with a few Van de Hums - a South African liquor.
I would highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Myself and family members decided to have dessert n cocktails at the bar! When arriving we asked if we could sit outside on the patio and was told they don't serve food on the patio( after asking the waiter to go back to her manager and ask if it would be possible) then they agreed! For a bar area that was extremely quiet couldnt understand why they could go that extra mile! Then I ordered a mojito and received it in a brandy glass( tasted horrible) barmen clearly was not sure how to mix cocktails! A hotel situated on the beach front I'd expect your batman to have knowledge of how to make a decent cocktail! I then thought I'd simplify it for the batman and just asked for a strawberry daiquiri (which isn't that difficult to make) I received it in a martini glass and tasted beyond terrible all I could taste was the strong alcohol mixed! I approached the waiter regarding this problem and the response I received was the barmen was new and wasn't sure how to make cocktails( why put someone behind a bar with absolutely no training received) knowing we reused problems not once was a Manager present to take control of the situation! I just left the daiquiri n ordered a savanna atleast this was bottle and would taste the way it's suppose to! If this is what the bar has to offer, I can only imagine what the hotel would be like! Will most definitely not return, think the hotel staff needs to be reminded what customer service truely is about

We stayed at the Arniston For 2 nights on our arrival we were made most welcome by Barbara who supplied us all with wine in plentiful amounts.

The view from our bedroom was spectacular looking out over the sea which when rough was good to see.

The food and service throughout the hotel was first class should we ever return would not hesitate to stay here.

We stayed 2 nights here as part of a Saga tour. We were quite overwhelmed by the beauty of Arniston Bay, turquoise sea and white sands - magical. We had a friendly welcome from Barbara the manageress and were shown to our delightful room - 119 - overlooking the pool. The room was huge and beautifully furnished with an equally huge bathroom with luxury toiletries. There was a decanter of sherry and a box of biscuits as well as the usual tea and coffee making items. The sun was on the large terrace for most of the day but we spent a fair amount of time relaxing on the loungers by the pool. The food was good but service very slow especially outside during the day. A wonderful spot to spend some time in the middle of a hectic tour of the Cape.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms can be windy and only get the sun in the morning.

This is a beautiful hotel situated right on the beach front. The room I had was at the front and overlooked the beach and the ocean beyond. A large balcony with a table and chairs was the icing on the cake, and was the perfect place to sit and watch the sunrise early in the morning.
The rooms are beautifully furnished and equipped, also the bathrooms and the tea/coffee making facilities, coupled with the decanter of port, made staying here even more enjoyable! The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful and the food/breakfast buffet excellent. The swimmingpool area was well furnished with sunloungers, and a good place to unwind after a busy day. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a fabulous place and location to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the seafront.

We stay here frequently. The rooms are lovely (even tough some of the sea view rooms are quite small) and the views are great. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the food in the restaurant is not good. It is overcooked and it has weird combinations of flavours which just dont seem to work. This is the real let down of this hotel.
We will still keep coming back as Arniston is such a beautiful place and is definitely worth a visit.

The hotel terrace is one of my top ten favourite places in South Africa. The food is excellent - especially the fish! I could sit and stare out at the Indian Ocean for hours from this spot!! The service is always very good and the prices of both the food and wine are very reasonable.
