Due to a change in the tour plans we had 2 nights here, Thank you SAGA you did us a great favour. For the first time we had a choice of options from a set menu served at table by attentive and knowledgeable staff rather than an over cooked and kept warm buffet.
The Guest relations manager, Barbara, welcomed us with the wine from the hotel "Arniston Bay" which we knew from the UK.
Our room 219 on the second floor overlooked the pool and had a balcony, it was spacious, has 2 cotton robes, plenty of towels with a bath and large walk in shower.
There was a fridge in the room containing fresh milk and fresh coffee and biscuits(refreshed daily).water was provided as was a small decanter of sherry.
The TV was the only dissapointment as it had limited channels but with the location who needs TV on a sunny day?
Dinner was excellent both in choice and quality of the food served, portions were generous, the wine list had a good selection by the glass and bottle the Arniston Sparkling wine was ZAR80 about £5 in the restaurant.
Breakfast was fabulous and needed time to enjoy.
The hotel is able to offer a limited number of excursions e.g. to the Cape which is the southernmost tip of Africa.
We have already recommended this hotel to several other couples we met who live in SAfrica.More
