“worth the visit”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

It's worth the visit to see the building. Lots of friendly staff and enough information to keep your trip to the Comox Valley busy. Probably the cleanest washrooms you'll find on your trip - Yeah!

“Glitzy, colorful, not much depth”
Reviewed May 1, 2013

The VI visitors centre was a bit of a disappointment. A beautiful building with an extraordinary rock fireplace, it's focused mostly on it's big sponsors (Mt. Washington) who could afford to pay. The smaller Comox Valley experiences that make the valley special get short shrift. There are brochures available, but again, focusing on commercial enterprises. Worth a stroll through, but there are better places to find out about the island and the Comox Valley.

“Very fancy info centre”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Really nice design of building with lots of parking, and seating for visitors needing to picnic. It's kind of annoying to get to if your coming from the inland island highway.... Looks like the city probably spent a lot of money on this site.

“This is a model visitor centre”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

Take the time to stop in with the whole family. Great displays of local activities and sites with great props for fun photo ops. This includes mountain bikes, a kayak, trees and with local varmints. You can even pose on a ski lift.
There is a state- of- the -art interactive touch table with photos and tourist info. It is worth a visit to just try it out. It is like an over-sized iPad!
The staff are very knowledgable and helpful and there I a small lunch bar and modern washrooms. It is a real treat! There is a ton of info on local attractions and accommodation.
There is even a charging station for electric cars.
