“Delightful”
Reviewed December 29, 2013

Stopped in here in search of a warm bowl of soup with Canadian relatives and were treated to not only great soup but a hearty Scots lunch (haggis neeps & tatties) for me fish and chips for the rest all of which was delicious and filling.
Great friendly service and a fantastic selection of whiskies makes this an ideal stop off for any Speyside travellers.

“Worth giving it a miss!”
Reviewed October 30, 2013

Last time that I will order food in the Highlander,, I have been disapointed with my last 3 visits to the Highlander and have noticed that the price just keeps going up and the quality down. Our meal last week was not only poor quality, small portions, over prices and absolutly tasteless, it was an insult to great Scottish food. The Whisky is well over priced as is the beer, not to mention the rooms.... There are a few good eateries in Speyside and I would recomend for you to go elsewhere.

“Lots of Whisky”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

There say they have a historic collection of whiskies - they do. Food is just okay. But its also about the only place in town to eat.

“Good food, excellent whisky”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

Stopped by for a no-nonsense fill your belly lunch. Place was quiet but the service from the young woman was friendly and efficient.

Had an excellent and well-received kids' meal. The soup and bread was good. Had a good range of panini fillings. Not expensive and just what you want for a lunch when on holiday.

Excellent range of whiskies - some of the cask strength drams are only £3ish which is superb value. Look forward to staying the night here one day and sampling more of their 'uisge-beatha'.

“Nice but not excellent”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

Ok food, excellent selection of whiskey. A bit expensive on the single malt, at least on the old ones. And not a fantastic selection of ales, but I guess thats not why you go there. The place is a bit "tired", if you understand my expression.
