On July 14, 2013 we had lunch at the Bagno Marino Archi - Via Fontanelle - Santa Cesarea Terme in Salento, Mezzogiorgio. My wife and I had a bottle of superb Prosecco from the Veneto region [Italian Bubbly, the best of which and not necessarily the most expensive (Carpene Malvolti was available In August 2013 in League City Texas at $15.78), I humbly submit is superior to ANY French Champagne - seriously - more and finer bubbles, lighter and more effervescent than Bolly, Dom, Verve, take any - alright maybe there is a bias here, for each occasion its own, even French!]; a seafood pizza that Terry believes had the best crust she has ever tasted, a large bottle of water, two extra plates of divine olives, etc…all for E58.00. One of the best meals with the freshest ingredients both of us had tasted for quite a while. And the view! Spectacular. Service was fast and exemplary, all the staff eager to help. The atmosphere was suitably family-orientated. But the children were (as usual in the Mezzogiorno) well behaved and not a nuisance. Can recommend this happy eatery without reservation. For its purpose and for what it is aiming at, five out of five.
