My wife and I traveled with our daughter to Costa Rica in June, 2014, and after a week of eating "traditional" Costa Rican plates (rice, beans, salad, meat & fried Plantain), we were directed to this great little place between Playa Flamingo and Brasilito called La Sodita Italiana. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the owner/chef Demetrio (transplanted directly from Venice Italy) and his co-owner/hostess/waitress Yendry. The seating is all under roof, yet there are no walls, so we always had a nice evening breeze, and the great lighting and curtains made the place look very charming. Then we got to have some EXCELLENT FOOD!! We ordered to go the first night we were there which included Lasagna, Ravioli, Rigatoni (which they called Macherroni) and a freshly baked in a wood burning oven pizza!! OMG......The short version of the story is that we ate there 4 out of 6 nights in town, AND we stopped by one morning and Demetrio and Yendry gave us a fresh-out-of-the-oven loaf of bread to munch on for a car ride we took that day. Absolutely the best food we experienced in Costa Rica, and we will go again as soon as we get back there. Keep up the GREAT work Demetrio and Yendry!!!
