A good size plate of food that is totally Costa Rican. The owner, Miguel, always had a fresh juice that was prepared daily and the cas juice was the favorite juice of my wife and I. Basically, you get a dish with rice, beans, mashed potatotes, and few veggies, and a very good size portion of a meat, plus a small salad to start things off. My wife is from Costa Rica and really enjoyed the selection and felt like she was eating typical Costa Rican cuisine. A few days he was doing something on the menu that he felt was geared towards the tourists, and his baby-back ribs were actually pretty good.
We ate lunch for about 12,000 colones - ($24) for my wife and I and our 4 year old son and were completely satisfied with the portion size, the taste, and the variety of the selection. We even did dinner here a few nights. It took about 15 minutes for the lunch to be prepared, but we always got our juices and salad within 5 minutes, plus a huge pitcher of water with a few orange slices to add a nice tinge of flavor to the water. Miguel was very customer friendly and spoke English pretty well for a local. We would stop here and eat next time, even if only passing through Brasilito.
