Description: The Woodside in Worsley is a country pub & restaurant oozing rural charm and rustic character. Our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.

Reserved a table for a recent Saturday evening. The place was moderately busy and we were shown to a nice round table by the window overlooking the small beer-garden at the front of the pub. The food and service was excellent. Only negative comment was I thought the wine per bottle was a little on the pricey side. The bill came to £84 for 2 courses for 5 people excluding wine.

This is great pub/Restuarant. The food is very good, with an excellent menu for children. There various themed food nights (vintage pie Wednesday, fish Friday, etc) are wonderful. The staff are especially friendly and helpful. On one occasion I didn't feel my meal was up to scratch and a side dish had been forgotten for my wife. When asked how e meal was I explain it was just ok and what had been a little disappointing. Both main dishes were immediately removed from the bill. It is a warm and inviting atmosphere filled with friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend.

Really great food, restaurant, att, its known for food, and range of beers, but drinks are on expensive side, first class service, and great value , as they have taken on gourmet card, that gives 25%discount, that makes all very great value, and then its 5 star.

Nicely situated pub, close to the East Lancs Road. Pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. Usually a good choice of beers and a wide selection of meals on the menu, as well as some daily specials. The staff are really helpful and friendly. I think the food quality is very good for a pub.

We've eaten at The Woodside several times and the food is very hit and miss and isn't cheap. If it's excellent food you're after book into Grenache which is 5 minutes drive up the road. However if the food isn't as important and you're just looking to chill with a drink and some ok food this is a great place to do that especially on a sunny day.
