Receptionist was very nice and kind, always smiling. But we didn’t get the bed as promised and the towels where not enough for 3 persons sometimes. The bathroom was old. All 3 of us had trouble sleeping because of the bed
Nice and quite with nice staff. The breakfast was good. The room was clean and comfortable. I had a nice balcony, air conditioning. Pity that you must pay for the internet and it didn’t work when I was there.
Nice, friendly personnel, plain food, close to the beach, beach overcrowded. If there had been no adjacent restaurant with a kids playroom, the children would have been very boring. Bus stop nearby - 50 m. But I recommend - take a car.
All the staff was very nice and always eager to help or to give you nice tips for your holiday. Nice clean pool just outside the hotel. Overall we liked our stay at Romanza and will surely return in the future.

We booked Romanza Mare as all inclusive, Romanza Mare is NOT ALL INCLUSIVE. You get 2.5 hours to have a free, all inclusive, alcoholic drink from ,6:30pm to 9:00pm, this is NOT ALL INCLUSIVE. The bar snacks are just biscuits and leftover pastries from breakfast. There is ice cream that is soft and melted to help yourself too. This is refrozen for the next day.
The food offer is diabolical- cold hot food, lack of choice, we had dried up pasta and tomato and bolagnase sauce as well as Greek salad on ever night.
We were there for 11.
There was no care, pride or passion in the food, it looked prehistoric and tasted bad. And cold too.
We spent 100’s of € on eating out as this is an important part of anyone’s holiday that they have worked hard all year to pay for.
Often the desert of the day would be an apple or mouldy peach.
As for the rest of the hotel, it’s very dated and needs rebuilding.
Our room we had a broken tap
Broken toilet seat
A power cut
And when you had a shower it fluded the bathroom
All together a shambles of a hotel.
Rhodes is a lovely island.
The Romanza Mare not so.
