There was extremely good children entertainment program - Mini disco. As I understand it was Italian entertainers group and they were fantastic. Kids loved it! I think that even grownups came to see the show. This saved our entire holiday.

We were staying in double room in a three-floor building right by the reception. So it was not long to go to restaurants, which is good.

On the other hand, every day there was late night entertainment program just right down our door and were could hear all songs and music all night long. But that we did get used to.

Double room with a sea view we had was big and had lot of space.

Bathroom started to smell with stained water after two days use.

No bathrobes, no slippers, no hair conditioner at this five star hotel.

Towels and bed sheets were gray color instead of being white.

Cleaning lady instantly called the door bell to clean the room, though she saw, that the room is occupied and closed from inside (we were staying with a baby who needed midday sleep).

Food was boring and dull. Though there were several restaurants we could visit, food was everywhere alike. Only restaurant I liked was Chinese - sushi and fish salad was good. But this restaurant had no eatable cakes on the other hand.

In the main restaurant you did not get coffee for dinner, you had to fetch it from upstairs bar.

Other funny food experience was at Greek tavern, which had to be booked in advance. We took "service menu" like they called it. It meant we could taste soup, salad, main course of Greek specialty. But...All folks and knives we used, we had to put on the bread plate after we ate our meal. If we did not, the water put them there for us. So next course was to be eaten with dirty folks. Though we took an a-la carte menu, no coffee or desert was offered.

Hotel guests were mainly Russians and Italians. Russians usually book they sunbeds early in advance at the beach and tend to do self-service at the bars, which is kind of funny to look at.

Though there is a dress-code to not wear bathing suits at meals at lunch we constantly saw half naked bodies. At dinner time there were dressed people ...

Italian guests were fantastic. It is a pleasure to stay with them in the same hotel. They know how to dress, to behave and how to be polite.

Hotel beach is good. Water is clear and warm in September. But beach might have been bigger for two hotels, it was quite crowded. Pools were almost empty.

And if you want to have a late check-out at that hotel, than be prepared to be put (switched) into the noisiest room with cockroaches in the bathroom besides the fact that you have to pack your things twice during your stay. And whether you can have a late check-out you are told only on the day of the departure.

I am American and my wife is German. This was my first all-inclusive resort experience, and I was looking forward to meeting other English speaking people to socialize with. That didn't happen because 99% of the other vacationers were Russian or Italian, and they don't speak English. The Russians behaved crudely and ill-mannered and dealing with that got tiresome. (I know that's a negative generalization but I'm just being honest) However, the staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful, the food was good, the room and grounds were clean, and I really liked the place overall.

First, Aldemar overbooked, so we were bumped (along with at least 15 other people) to the neighboring Eden Roc (4* and no sea view) for 4 nights. We used the beach/facilities at Aldemar while staying at the Eden Roc, though. I wasn't impressed with the service, cleanliness in the restaurants (a dish, utensil or glass was dirty at nearly every meal), or the beach. Drinks at the bar were oddly mixed, and the tables were grimy. The beach is narrow, with the lounge chairs (not very comfortable) very close together and a lot of cigarette butts and other small trash mixed in the sand/rocks. The sea is lovely, of course, and made up for just about everything.

The animation staff seemed uninspired, but maybe they were just tired at the end of the season. My toddler had a great time swimming and at the kids' disco, and the room was roomier than many. There was loud music in both the Village and the main hotel at night, even with the windows closed.

Overall, the fantastic weather, the water, and the interesting sights on the island made the vacation a good one, but we won't be returning to the Aldemar or visiting its other locations.

The hotel is located close t the airport and city of Rhodos, has very many swimming pools, restaurants, beautiful beach with sunbeds free of charge, the beach towels are also given and can be changed every day! The food could be better, but is ok, plenty to choose from! Drinks and ice cream can be carried around the territory. Territory and rooms very clean and beautiful! Everyting well air-conditioned. We had a sea view and it was beautiful! Night disco was nice. And if you want to sleep and not listen to the evening entertainment then just close the balcony doors and allmost don't hear anything :)

We recently returned from a 2-week (well deserved;-) vacation on Rhodes island and all I can say - it was indeed Paradise;-) Our hotel, though 4-star, just opened after the reconstruction - rooms were spacious, all fresh after fit-out, with new equipment installed in bathrooms. We bought garden view and never regretted since we had view over the mountain with stunning sunsets every evening and there was sea view on the side as well (see the pics attached). What was unusual was the number of pools (even now I'm not sure how many) with plenty of sunbeds around each (so no Germans occupying them every morning at 7AM - what a relief!) This summer was the 1st one when Aldemar Paradise didn't have any extra pay for sunbeds & parasols on the beach for the all-includsive program - this is also great! Cleaning team worked perfect - they took good care of the hotel territory and cleaned rooms daily. The food was delicious and even breakfasts did not seem repetitive after a week! There are 2 slides within the huge and very beautiful territory of Paradise Village and Royal Mare, so kids will find what to do for sure! Only I would agree with one of the previous reviewers - someone needs to control them from rushing down in groups! It would be really helpful if Aldy kids' club personnel could speak at least English (to say nothing for Russian - there are a lot of Russians at the hotel as well) - they could hardly understand any English at all, maybe only Italian. A small downside are evening shows, although during the day the animation team works out of their way to entertain guests and are great about it! I enjoyed aqua-gym, splash dance, aerobics, etc. etc. The hotel is located 10 min drive from Rhodes city - a beautiful place to go for a walk - if you find a company (3-4 people) to go with you, you can take a cab at a bus price (1.70 - 1.75/person). Lindos and Simi island are places worth visiting. Rhodes is a beautiful place, so we may come back, and if we do, Aldemar is certainly a place to stay in!
