This hotel is perfect for either couples or families. As a couple we were put in the adult only area which was lovely and quiet and you could be the only person in the pool. On the other side it is much livelier, perfect if you have kids.
We did all inclusive which was definitely worth it, particularly if you like a few alcoholic beverages ! The staff are very good on the whole ,and you actually want to tip them.
The food was excellent. Lots of choice though at times it does feel like its feeding time at the zoo. Sitting outside away from the chaos solved this.
The area which the hotel is in doesn't have much , though the bar down the road is well worth a visit. Rhodes town is lovely and we actually walked to falaraki which took about three quarters of an hour.
I would recommend taking an iron as there isn't one in your room or at reception. You have to pay for an ironing service.I also thought our room could have been cleaned a bit more thoroughly Ie the bathroom, but the communal areas were spotless. On the whole a relaxing holiday with good pools , food and service.

The resort is very good for a family holiday. The resort is well maintained. Most of the staff members very friendly. The overall impression of the place is positive.
The 2 Junior Suites we had were comfortable, well decorated and very spacious
Food is fine.
The local beach is very gritty and pebbles.

This is our 2nd stay at the hotel. Last year we went at the same time in late August.
This year, the hotel had put up its prices and it worked out expensive for 2 adults and 2 kids ( 4.5 & 1.5).
Resort is always clean and is always bring cleaned.
Pools are fantastic, quiet and spacious. Kiddie pool is wonderful to relax while kids splash their feet. Kiddie club is great- speak all languages and close enough to leave you kid happily for a hour while you read a book outside- dont be surprised if your kid comes out with a red Indian face paint.
We took half board and got a Greek salad and pizza for lunch from pool restaurant for 20 euro with big bottle water which was perfect and really tasty. Some nights dinner was great and other nights... Much less- meat very dry and over cooked and sea food also not very fresh and rubbery. But salads and deserts always made up for this. Late Afternoons are great for game of tennis or mini golf and after dinner ping ping or a Greek dance by roof pool also passed the time. Location fantastic- walking distance from water park and Fairground which were fabulous for kids.
Excellent service and can't wait till next year because its the type of hotel you just know you can anticipate the same high service every year.

For me and my wife this was the first time we went on a holiday with our kids. Our daughter is 3 years old and our son is 11 months old.

We had a blast.

The room was great, the food was awesome, the staff was so friendly and helpful. I also wrote a thank you note to the general manager expressing our joy.

For us the beach was heaven, being able to easily rent a car on the spot worked perfectly and the third level restaurant was superb. Those were the top three on our list.

Coming from Israel, I couldn't help comparing:
It felt to me like a good combination of Eilat and Jaffa, but less crowded, with much more relaxing atmosphere, however somewhat more expensive. The fact that it's only 1:15 hours flight makes this a fantastic trip.

Enjoy your holiday!!

I am genuinely surprised that anybody has found problems with this hotel. My mother has not been away for 15 years, partly due to a fear of repeating a negative holiday. She is exceptionally fussy about hotels and has once changed rooms 5 times. Our expectations were completely outdone by this exquisite hotel.

The staff were superb -I asked a lot of questions and all were met by friendly and informative staff. I would like to make a special mention of the two beautiful hosts in the dining area (apologies for not remembering your names!) who could not do enough for us and also George, who showed us our room, had a lovely sense of humour and who frequently drove us around the complex when called upon and voluntarily.

The room was amazing -every facility you can imagine! Lovely view, clean and cool.

The food was delicious with plenty of choice (I'm a vegetarian). The food is changed every night so we had the opportunity to eat Greek cuisine, fresh fish, Asian food and many more.

The beach is 5 minutes walk down a private passage or 2 minutes by buggy -hotels often say this but it actually is that close. The beach has private/free sun loungers and is not cramped at all. I snorkelled myself through day one.

The location of the hotel is another major plus point as it's not in the busy, somewhat degenerate area of Faliraki and the far busier area of Rhodes town. You are in a more scenic and picturesque area, but other areas are still easily accessible. There is so much to do here!

This is the swankiest hotel I have ever seen and my mum's only negative comment was 'how can we ever match this?'

Thank you to everybody at La Marquise :)

So, we got back from 7 days vacation.
I will try to summarize our experience in this hotel:
GOOD points:
- nice concept of the hotel design
- nice room, the junior suite was big enough;
- room nice and classic decorated;
- nice staff although most of them are students bad payed
- thanks from Christine from the reception desk we managed to extend a late departure room (Christine, thank u for being the most supportive and u showed understanding for having small child! You are an example for all your colleagues!)
- in the first days of our stay the hotel was extremly clean until a very big group of Israeli people arrived. .... And they did a mess with the cleanliness of the reception, restaurant... Everything was a disaster after them.... Although all the staff was struggling to repair the damage... Rude israeli children were all over the hotel, israeli lady smoking within the kids club (the very nice lady from the kids ground notified her that smoking inside the kids club is forbidden... But she told to the lady that she is "stupid")... That's why we decided to stay less in the hotel.

WEEK points:
- too few minicars driving the people to/from the beach
- the food is less diversified than in Turkish resort which frustrates u if you are used with Turkish model... But anyhow, we didn't came for the food...
- the housekeepers clean the room well only if you leave complains at the reception desk
- the outside playing ground is damaged and has too few games
- the sun umbrellas from the beach have to be changed as they are not part of a 5 stars hotel

Conclusion:
Althugh the overall services are not at the level of Turkey best resort we went to, I liked our vacation, I left with a good feeling about this hotel. Again, to all people that please me, THANK You!

Room Tip: The rooms near the pools are smaller, choose a room in the main hotel.

Dear valued guest,
May we first and foremost thank you for having shared with us your impressions about your recent holidays at La Marquise online.
We are pleased to note that overall you had a nice vacation at our resort and that you remained satisfied with the hotel’s accommodations and the nice staff services.
We may assure you that we are always taking into consideration very seriously all our guests’ comments since these are the most appropriate in helping us to progress towards the highest sense of quality and service.
Please allow us just to clarify the following:
Our students are paid according to the school rules and Hellenic legistations, and are the same with any other hotel in Greece. Still, we regret that such wrong accusations expressed by some of them are discussed with our guests, since these students should be serving our guests in the best way instead of blaming their employers without even know their contract agreement with their school.
As far as some people behavior, unfortunately it depends of its own culture and education given to its children, and although we are well aware and always striving on this point (as stated by yourself in the mini club) in order to reduce until we may completely eliminate this issue, we cannot be fault for any misbehaviour from their part.
Even though, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you might have experienced while staying with us and for the areas we fell short of your expectations.
Gladly this didn’t overshadow your entire experience at La Marquise Hotel, we will be pleased to welcome you back in the future and totally satisfy you.
Respectfully,

My husband, myself and my two teenage children (15 and 17) have just had two glorious weeks at this lovely hotel. We were extremely fortunate when we arrived to find that we had been upgraded! It was spotlessly clean, beautifully kept and managed to an excellent standard. We couldn't fault anyone. The staff were all fabulous from the maids through to the waiters / waitresses to the bar staff and the reception staff. Nikos has been mentioned many times and we certainly agree with all that has been said of him - an absolute treasure and great fun. If you want a hotel that has los of evening entertainment and loads of kids clubs etc, this will not be the place for you. The entertainment in the evening was very low key but perfect for us. The big bonus is that the waterpark is a 15 minute walk away and at 22euros not a bad price - plenty of shade which when its 35degrees is greatly appreciated and the slides were excellent. The food was excellent and even though there have been some negative comments we could honestly say that we enjoyed the food. Plenty of choice and lots of it - not al le carte but come on, it is all inclusive! We didn't go to the spa or the gym so can't comment on either. The beach was a 5 minute walk away from the hotel via an underpass and if this is too much for you they will always take you in the golf buggies! Our only gripe would be the dress code in the evening. This is long trousers for men but this meant that basically they could wear anything from tracksuit bottoms to ripped jeans to teenagers with caps on etc.. We certainly feel that this should be addressed and if they want men to be smart, jeans should not be allowed and certainly if they are, then tailored shorts should also be allowed. One thing we particularly liked was that managers were seen around the public areas at all times and even though they kept a low profile they were there to make sure everything ran smoothly.
We will certainly plan to go back to this hotel (can we have the same upgrade!) and considering it is only 4 years old they are doing a great job. Well done all of you at La Marquise.

Room Tip: If you want a quieter room the Adult Only area is great (section 4000)- no children under 16 allowed...
