My boyfriend and I booked last minute with Thomson, and have never booked an "all inclusive" holiday. We were wanting a relaxing, sunny holiday and decided to go with La Marquise, as it was a new 5 star hotel, that looked incredible. We were not disappointed! The Hotel was amazing! The rooms were lovely and roomy and very clean and relaxing. Our room opened out on to some grass which was great for sunbaking and then right onto one of the many pools that go around the whole hotel. The staff were incredible and really made our stay more enjoyable. The Restaurant's Manager- Nickos Met looked after us, always recommending the best dishes and could not have been more helpful. All the staff were very friendly and very attentive. The food- buffet for Breakfast & Dinner was amazing- everything on offer including traditional Greek food. Lunch at the Gondala Pool bar was amazing and worth booking our trip as all inclusive as all beer and wine throughout the week were included. There was a cocktail evening for guests on the Friday, our last night, to welcome them to the hotel and also to hear customer feedback, where we also met the Hotel Manager Michael. Rosie, the Guest Services Manager was also very lovely and organised a late check out for us, so we could enjoy the full day at the hotel before our evening flight. We are so glad we booked this hotel. It was such a lovely relaxing holiday and I would definitely book again- hopefully soon! If you want a holiday with great staff, service, accommodation, food, and a relaxing environment, this is the right hotel to book. I want to go back now!!!

Rooms are spacious, modern and well furnished. Pool just 5 steps in front of the room. Nice pool-bar. Very kind staff at the reception, but also the maitres nikos and giannis in the restaurant. Nice buffet, car rental available in the hotel. Hotel is located 10 min. from Rhodes-City Center.

First of all, the person who wrote the review titled “The worst trip ever!!” seems to be off their head! Everything that was written was a complete and utter lie. Anyone thinking of staying at this hotel please do not pay attention to it. If it was THAT bad, why did you not take any pictures and upload them to convince people not to stay with them?

I stayed with my husband for 7 days and we both think that everything about this hotel is 5*, from the large rooms, food, swimming pools to the staff and service. If I had to be one of those really picky people then I would say the room toiletries could be a bit more on the luxury side and a bigger play area for children would be a good idea for when the hotel is at its full capacity as otherwise it could get abit cramped.

Dear Guest,

we are very sorry that you had such a bad experience from our hotel, but I think that you have judged us very hard. I am always informed if there is a complaint and thus I remember talking to you. From our last discussion, you mentioned that the reason you wanted to move to the other hotel was because the Hotel manager there was your friend. But it does not matter any more.
We thank you anyway for your comments and hope to give us a chance one more time to change your feelings about us.

Our stay at La Marquise was a great success, from the friendly welcome to the food nicely presented (and of excellent quality) and the service – all were efficiently provided by the hotel staff always with a smile. The staff on a job superbly performed and expresses our acknowledgements for creating our new impression of Rhodes hospitality. We are certainly recommending this hotel to any one.

Nice hotel with great service
Fantastic outside swimming pools
Swimming pool inside just not warm enough (can be a problem in the colder periods)
Very good food (all buffets)

Room Tip: Family suites are perfect with children

We stayed at this hotel at the start of the season over the Easter break. We have 2 children aged 2 and 6. We stayed in a spacious 'family suite' which was good but the children's room had no window( we were in the main building) and it was gloomy. Toiletries were not 5* standard and pretty sparce.
We expected the hotel to be fairly quiet but we were very shocked. The hotel was FULL (900 people) during the week we were there and it was a nightmare at meal times and during the night. Unfortunately the nationality it was mostly full of - not English,French, German or Greek, were VERY noisy and rude at meal times and generally spent the evenings shouting and screaming at their many kids -we complained 4 times to hotel management about the noise in the corridors, next door and below us as it generally went on till1am or later. We asked to move 3 times and twice went to see the 'guest relations' manager -to no avail. We were told that ,yes this nationality was noisy but they could do nothing about it. It ruined a really lovely hotel as it's decor and what it's trying to be in terms of service is good.
The kids club lady, Ingrid is lovely and the hotel is very clean and the food good for mass catering. However, a buffet with 900 guests in one place is not good, not relaxing at all and dangerous at times! If you want a choice of wines, you'll be left waiting as they have a list of them but don't stock 90% of them. The piano bar is nice but very pricey and no real atmosphere. 8 euros for gin?? My advice, buy an 8 euro bottle of it in the mini market! No entertainment at night other than the piano so the hotel was full of kids running around and people not drinking anything. A lot of people looked very scruffy too during the week we stayed and didn't dress nicely for dinner, despite the supposed strict 'code of dress.'
Strangly, getting a sunbed was easy, no bed saving going on, really relaxed, lots of beds to choose from, pool areas are lovely and kept very clean.
The beach across is pebbly and a bit tired looking but ok.
Buses to rhodes town are regular and it's a lovely place to go to - lots of restaurants, bars and little shops in the walls. Costs 2 euro return. Taxis are good as they work by a strict price timetable so you know the price of a trip without having to worry you'll be ripped off. The island is lovely and worth getting out and about to see.
In our opinion, it's not the best hotel we've ever stayed in due to the clientele, sorry, sounds very snobby but 5* shouldn't feel like Butlins at times.x

Dear Guest,

we would like to express our sincere apologies for giving you the wrong impression of our hotel. To be honest, we were not prepared to have 900 people four days after hotel opening and it was very difficult for us to give the service we know we can offer to our clients.
Please be sure that we took notice of all your positive and negative comments and we will keep working on be better in the future.
We only hope to have the chance to show it to you.
