Stayed in the past few years in 9 different Hotels in Rhodes, and at last, found the most exciting of them all, The ELYSIUM.
Memorable experience : best location, close to everything, beautiful and very clean beach, fantastic view and most of all, great restaurants
Room was specious and very clean, in short, immaculate, bed was very comfortable, in all, a great place
The most praise has to go to the staff. From the front office to the beach boy: Most friendliest , welcoming, amazing helpful and accommodating
The most pleasant 7 days stay, it is really nice place and good value on top. I will absolutely return.
This vacation was a memorable one. Also a special thank you to all the staff who went above and beyond the call of duty.
What I am Saying is, the Hotel is amazing, truly fabulous
After this stay I love, love, love the ELYSIUM

We have just arrived home from an absolutey marvellous holiday at this hotel,we cannot fault the service, especially at the pool side bar, where we found the staff, especially Georgia, really friendly and helpful, making us feel really special, remembering our room number straight off, and always smiling, thankyou so much.
The rooms we had were really clean and very tastefully furnished, with a fantastic sea view, the comfortable beds made every morning and rooms tidied, and the air conditioning was quiet and very efficient. The bathroom had a nice powerful shower, and a good hairdryer. All the towels are provided, and yes there is a deposit on the beach towels, which was explained to us on our arrival but you can get clean ones as often as you like, and your deposit is returned at the end of the week, which we were very happy with.
The food was brilliant,a buffet breakfast for all tastes, served until 10 in the morning, so you don't have to rush about, and the evening meal was either a buffet, or a choice of greek dishes, so there was something for everyone.
Every one of the staff throughout our stay was helpful and friendly, spoke English and always had a smile. We cannot fault this hotel and will definitely be returning. Thankyou for such a lovely holiday.

Room Tip: All the rooms have a sea view and are equally well equiped.

This was our second trip to Rhodes and we chose this hotel mainly due to location and good reviews and we were not disappointed.
The hotel is light, modern and airy and we found the staff to be approachable and friendly.

We booked a deluxe sea view room, which was allocated in block 2, slightly separate from the hotel. The room was clean and of good size, with nice views. 1 complimentary bottle of water and wine is provided on arrival after that water is €1 from the hotel shop. The bed is very comfy and the room was serviced daily. We were surprised however that the bed linen was not changed at all ( we stayed 7 nights) but not really an issue. Word of advice - the maid seems to like wrigleys chewing gum!!

The pool and beach areas are clean and well maintained, lots and lots of loungers and plenty of space for everyone. The beach is shingle and small pebble so not to everyone's taste but the sea here is calm, unlike the west coast and beautifully clear, it's a blue flag beach too.

The quality of food at the buffet restaurant is good with a decent variety for breakfast and dinner. For dinner they actually offer a choice of 3 a la carte dishes as well as the buffet but I would have preferred more Greek main course dishes, (after all that's why we went to Greece) rather than general Mediterranean dishes to suit all - but everyone else seemed happy.
Our waiter, Evgenios Vrontos was excellent, he not only remembered us on our 2nd evening but also our room number and our drinks order - impressive. He runs his section extremely well and never misses a thing. Aristomenis also deserves a mention.
If I have one critisism it is that the dress code is not enforced, we saw many people in unsuitable flip flops, shorts and t-shirts for dinner - shame.

The evening entertainment might be fine if you are of acertain again or deaf, but apart from ABBA who were actually ok - don't bother with the rest.

The gym is ok, but we did not use the spa (I don't think anyone does) - why pay when the sea is free.

I did not like the fact that there is no free wifi, 5 hours costs €9, I only wanted it for 10minutes!
Maybe if there was free wifi in the bars it might encourage people to drink in them, rather than them always being empty - we would have anyway.

Buses stop directly outside the hotel every 20mins to Rhodes town (30mins trip) or to Lindos every hourish (1 hour trip) just ask at reception for a timetable, and cost a couple of euros. TIP - 10am is tourist rush hour and they get very, very crowded.

All in all though, apart from a few minor niggles, we enjoyed our stay and would go back.

Dear Valued Guest,

Thank you ever so much for reviewing our hotel following your recent stay in Elysium.

We are happy to read that you had an enjoyable time in our resort and would like to thank you for all the favorable comments made, especially the ones concerning our members of staff that will be very pleased to know your opinion on the service delivered.

While we were very pleased to hear your positive feedback in regards to the Deluxe Room booked we found extremely bizarre the issue raised with the bed linen. The latter get changed on a daily basis as being a standard procedure for the maids alongside with replenishing the room’s toiletries. This is something that we will certainly investigate further with the hotel’s chief housekeeper as we never had a complaint of this nature before.

Thank you also for your kind words in regards to the variety offered during breakfast and dinner as well as for the service delivered; both waiters indicated will be informed of your praise accordingly.
As far as WiFi is concerned, we are also pleased to inform you that the hotel has decided to change its policy and offer this for free in the public areas as suggested in your review.

Once again thank you for choosing to stay at the Elysium Resort & Spa and very much hope to have the pleasure to welcome you back in the not so distant future.

Best Regards,

Great hotel, beautiful, great food, great service, nice people, friendly, professional
highly recommended on all level's,
even the standard rooms are good, the hotel was over booked and it didn't feel crowded
the beach has allot of peddles and is not white, but it is still beautiful
it is recommended to do every reservations trough a local dealer, because the prices are much higher when you call the hotel in Pearson, the food is incredible, the service is close to perfect, i had such a great experiences that i decided to sit down and give back a good feedback (i usually don't do it), it is that good

Stayed in a superior room in the main building. The room was really nice and trendy with a wonderful sea view & big balcony. House keeping and room service excellent.

The food was great, although it would have been nice to have more than two options for main course in the evenings (á la carte), there was three options but the third was vegetarian. Not a big problem though, if there was something we didn't like one evening we would just stick to the buffet which was really good. Always lots to choose from.

Pool was really nice. Beware of the towel game in the mornings... the best beds with sun all day long are taken before 9 AM. But never a problem to get sunbeds elsewhere. Too many kids by the pool. We were under the impression that this was a more "exclusive" resort with a relaxed and chillout atmosphere, but this was not always the case with kids running around.

Would still go back though, but only if we got a good deal.

Dear Valued Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel on Tripadvisor.

We are very pleased to read that you had a great stay in our resort and that you would consider returning to Elysium in the future.

Thank you for your nice comments in regards to the accommodation, hotel service and leisure facilities offered; this is greatly appreciated by all of us.

We have taken note of your further comments in regards to the main course options served at the Emerald restaurant and have forwarded those to the hotel’s management attention for further evaluation, however as pointed out in your review the combined variety and choice offered in Elysium is found to be above satisfactory.

We are also pleased to hear that you found the provision of sun beds and parasols to be adequate. Having said that we would like to stress that our reception team informs guests upon check in that reserving sun beds with towels is not permitted however you do appreciate that the hotel staff cannot confiscate them as this would lead to confrontation.

Overall we are glad to note that you had a wonderful stay with us and hope to have the pleasure to welcome you back in Elysium in the not so distant future.

We stayed for a week. The buffet breakfast and dinner were always vast, tasty, fresh and as healthy as you wanted them to be. The theme changed slightly every night although there was always Greek salad etc. There are other restaurants but they cost extra so we just stuck to the buffet as it was really good. Right on the beach, which is pebbles/shingle - although there are wooden walkways across and down to the sea to save your tootsies. It's easy to walk between the large swimming pool and the sea. The spa is lovely and well kept. As expected, drinks and spa were on the expensive side - like London prices - but then they always are in these hotels. The gym was well-equipped, and well air-conditioned too. The gardens are really well kept and everything still looks very new. Only things that really needed replacing were the tennis racquets - they had some broken strings - but to be fair the first time we used them we were in proper working order, and another couple who were obviously stronger players than us had broken them overnight.

If you walk to the end of the beach and along the road for 10-15 minutes, you can walk down to some other great beach/rock areas with sun loungers with cheaper bars and music. A little further along is Kalithea Thermal Springs, which is nice to have a wonder around, but they are still developing the 'springs' aspect of it, and it is mainly just another beach/sun lounger area with some nice buildings and gardens to walk around and a small trickling spring/waterfall over a rock - for 3 Euros entry it's worth having a wander.

There is entertainment every night in on of the bars at the hotel - usually cover bands, and also a really impressive dance group. It's only a 5 min taxi ride (or there is a bus stop right outside the hotel) to Faliraki if you fancy a bit more of a party, although when we went it was very quiet.

Room Tip: I think most rooms are sea facing, but if not, it is definitely worth getting sea view, as there is...

Everything was fantastic! The only minus was the beds.. It would be much better with a king size bed instead of two beds sliding apart.

The buffe was excellent! And also the resturang on the roof with a great view. The pool was nice and always clean and fresh. Little bad that the beach had some stones in the sand.. But the ocean was very good. Almyra beach bar has a great staff and wonderful services.

Dear Valued Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience following your recent stay at the Elysium Resort & Spa.

We are delighted to note that you had a brilliant time and that you found every aspect of our hotel to be of high standards.

Thank you for highlighting the hotel’s culinary standards; this is very much appreciated and will be relayed to our Executive chef who will be very grateful to hear.

As far as the hotel’s beach is concerned, please note that Elysium cannot intervene on the surrounding natural environment. The sandy and pebbled beach of Kallithea is one of the most popular beaches in Rhodes and a famous spot amongst the locals due to its cleanliness, something that we are happy to see that was acknowledged in your review.

Thank you once again for your rewarding comments; we hope to have the pleasure to welcome you again in our resort in the not so distant future.
