The farm itself is gorgeous and quiet and set in a lovely location not too far from Portreath's beaches and Cambourne's local amenities. This is the forth year we've stayed and this time we were in the lovely Burgess. Our accommodation was everything we needed, stocked well for when we wanted to cook, with a lovely airy feel to the living area. The bedrooms were fine, as was the bathroom stylised as a wet room. We were given new sheets and towels during our 2 week stay which was a bonus considering the weather was unusually hot!
Looking forward to coming back next year!
Lovely stone built barn conversion and Ideal size for 2 adults. Ground floor has well fitted kitchen with dish washer, microwave and every utensil you could wish for except a pair of scissors..Lounge is very comfortable with a settee and armchair, fully carpeted with a log fire and television, off the lounge are the stairs to the bedroom and bathroom and a door leading to the conservatory. Bedroom has all the storage 2 people would ever need and one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. The bathroom is very well appointed with an excellent shower and good size bath. the whole Cottage is as warm as anybody would ever want due to the very good heating system, we had it either turned down or off most of the time and we were for the latter half of September.
The Position of Mowhay Cottage is ideal for touring as it is about 2 miles from the A30 and not for from the supermarkets of Redruth, Cambourn and Hayle. Best supermarket voted by me was Waitrose on the outskirts of Truro.
