Longforgan Bed and Breakfast
Reviewed April 27, 2014

Martin and Carol were marvellously welcoming and I cannot recommend staying at Longfordan highly enough! My dual aspect room was lovely, spotless and really comfortable. The fresh cakes on offer to complement the tea/coffe/hot chocolate available in the room were very much appreciated, particularly as I was there for the luxury of two nights and could come back from work on the first day and relax with lemon cake and a cuppa whilst catching up on email using the free wifi. The range of menus in my room made it easy to pick somewhere to have dinner (the Spade Oak pub just down the road was equally delightful) and the bathroom was sparkling clean and modern. The breakfast menu was fantastic - so much so that I rang a friend to read it to her, when Martin had taken my order for the following morning! I can only hope I visit more schools in the area and therefore have the chance to stay here again!

When you were growing up, was there a house in your neighborhood to which kids were magically drawn? Perhaps it was your house. Such is the nature of Longforgan. It is a warm, inviting, place where you are cared for. The world-class breakfasts you will have is something that many of Longforgan's guests have found worthy of high praise. You will have a comfortable bedroom the cleanliness of which is matched by the bathroom (and the rest of the house). You'll find a tray of treats waiting for you on the table in your bedroom and there are fresh muffins or cakes on a table in the foyer, too. I am disabled and can not stand in a shower. Carol and Martin bought a special chair so that I can bathe seated, as I do at home. No wonder their list of guests (and returning guests) is growing exponentially! Longforgan is truly a special place.

On arrival I received a very warm welcome from Martin and Carol and was shown to a lovely room. Everything was spotlessly clean and I was very impressed by what was on offer for breakfast (the home made bread and preserves were delicious). I was made to feel very much at home. Although their lovely little dog went by the name of Flo I find it hard to believe that it is the same Flo that other reviewers wrote about - because Flo was anything but grumpy and was always in a playful mood every time I arrived back. I highly recommend Longforgan.as a place to stay and would like to pass on my thanks to Martin and Carol for looking after me so well..

My stay at Longforgan B&B was very pleasant. Carol, Martin and Flo created a welcoming, friendly atmosphere from the moment I made the first phone call. The room was large, with a very comfortable bed. The cleanliness of the place was outstanding.

Longforgan is one of the best B&Bs in which we have every stayed. Right from making the booking, to when we arrived (and were offered tea in their lovely garden) and all through our stay Carol and Martin were charming and helpful.
Our en-suite room was roomy and very clean. As I have noted in other reviews, it is the attention to detail and customer service, that can really make a place special. Carol and Martin know how to do it right, from the selection of snacks in the room, to the wonderful variety of breakfast options (that were all well prepared, presented and extremely tasty) to their excellent suggestions of things to do and places to eat.
I would heartily recommend Longforgan to anyone wanting to stay in the High Wycombe area.

This was my second stay at Longforgan B&B. It was like meeting friends you known since years. A very warm Welcome by Carol and Martin and Flo. The rooms are superb and the breakfast is marvelous. If you need help, sights worth a visit or Pubs with great food ..never hesitate to ask, they know the best places to go. So i really recommend this B&B!!!

Thanks Martin and Carol!!

Carol and Martin have created a gem. Theirs is a lovely B&B, convenient to Heathrow and well located for exploring the scenic towns and villages of Buckinghamshire. The house, gardens, our room, and breakfasts were perfect. The friendliness of the hosts and their suggestions for local travel, dining, etc. were most appreciated. You will be delighted if you choose Longforgan!
