After visiting the Swallow falls- a bit disapointing I was not sure what to expect. They falls are harder to find- it seems like the village doesn't want the traffic-think small streets and overgrown hedge covering sign- but we mnged to find them. If you park at the entrance to the walk it is 2 pounds to park so many park in the village and walk the mile up. Route one is a fairly easy walk on a well defined path . Route 2 takes you over rougher terrain througha pine plantation (next to it) past some stone walls and fence palings made of slate to arrive at the same place the falls. They are quite high with a beautiful river with large stones and cute bridge. Recent rain had the falls gushing away and also made the first route soggy under foot.No cafe one way but there were some Welsh ponies and a cafe in the village. We packed a picnic so did not eat there.

Beautiful mountain scenery and a stunning waterfall at the end. Masses of wild flowers and peace and tranquility. A 4 mile round walk.
