The Menu del Dia in most Spanish restaurants is invariably good value and certainly cheaper than its French equivalent. Here there are two such menus and the DEARER one is only €15 + vat!
For that price, we enjoyed a nice little dish of olives and crisps whilst we studied the menu, a starter accompanied by a plateful of tomato tostada, a main course, with crusty bread, and a dessert. The price also included a glass of beer, wine or sangria and water. Coffee was extra and typically strong.
The menu offers a good selection and everything we chose was tasty, well cooked and presented at an appropriate temperature. Service was efficient and friendly.
We ate in the outside conservatory and it was a lovely place to be on a sunny autumn day.
This menu is not 'fine dining' but who would expect it to be for the price?
The à la carte menu looked really interesting and our fellow diners who were choosing from it seemed to be enjoying the generous helpings they were served.
We would go back there and recommend it. Those reviewers who have given Kennedy less than average marks were, methinks, not reading the words on the tin properly!
