still gr8 come back here a lot now they have got better on the bar now and they service now matches the quality of the food when it gets busy there is a wait for food but it is all cooked fresh to order ! (Unlike some over place's local to here no names needed ! that cook all the food on Monday and re heat all week !) Also the beers and drinks menu has bean improved as well ! if you go on a nice day sit out side nice area good views of wind mill ! very good I highly recommended this and I am very fussy about food :)

Visited The Cricketers yesterday evening (26th June). Booked by telephone last week. When we arrived at 7.30 for our 7.45 booking we were loudly informed, without apology, by the barman that there was no booking for us. It seemed unclear, so we had to ask, whether they were able to give us a table. A little while later, again in a loud but offhand manner we were told the booking had been made for the following evening but no apology for the mistake. A discrepancy with the beer followed - Doom Bar requested but another beer served. We have been going to The Cricketers for the past 3 years or so since it was refurbished and at that time the staff used to be fast, polite and extremely efficient but things have deteriorated. Time to give The Kings Arms a try I think.

To be fair we went on fathers day, the place was rammed which is always a good sign. We thoroughly enjoyed the roast beef and as the staff were rushed off their feet I wasn't about to whinge about my horseradish request!! Well recommended

Visited The Cricketers Friday 7th June - very busy , we had not booked , but not a problem to the happy friendly staff . we sat outside as early eve. Had a bit of a wait for our fish n chips but Penny the manageress kept us informed and boy was it worth the wait !
It was buzzing inside when we came in after our meal and loved the atmosphere.
Well done Cricketers for creating such a great venue.
