This residence is ideal for extended stays. It functions not like a hotel, but more like an apartment complex, with the manager present or at least a phone call away. I arrived on a sunday, and the manager was not there, but the intercom connects to his cellphone, and he buzzed me in. My room was in essence a studio apartment, with a sofa, a desk, and a small kitchen. It was quite spacious. Breakfast is included, and there is room service every day (only basic… they replace the linens and towels only once every few days, and they don't wash the dirty dishes that you may leave in the sink). Paid wireless internet is available. Garching is a bit sleepy, as a town, but well connected to Munich via the subway, with the nearest stop being at walking distance. The staff of the Park Residence is friendly and helpful. Twice I forgot my purse in the dining room, and immediately they came to find me to return it. Overall, I really recommend this place. I can only think of two very minor negatives that I have experienced there. One is that the cleaning staff is somewhat overzealous.. one of them entered my room at 7:45 am without knocking, and another knocked at my door around 9 am, asking when I was going to leave the room.
