“Perfect pub food”

My daughter took me out for dinner to our local and it and we had really tasty food. Even though it was a large portion the sea bass plate was cleaned. My daughter wanted the enchiladas not on the menu anymore but the chef made it especially for her now that is service above and beyond. Great service fantastic food, would highly recommend popping in here for dinner. Reasonably priced too.

A meal out for 3 on 11th May, we ordered 1 steak pie, 1 fish pie and 1 cajun chcken with drinks. My steak pie and the fish pie arrived after a long wait (too long) the cajun chicken came as a cajun burger, not what we ordered. The waitress apologised and my niece had a further wait for her meal. The steak pie was full of large pieces of fat, some not even attached to meat it would put many people of. When the cajun chicken finally arrived it looked like a dogs dinner, it was rice covered in a mixture of veg and chicken smothered in a thick sauce, it tasted ok but just looked awful, Because of the mix up and long delay we were given complementary drinks and when we spoke to the manageress about both the steak pie and the cajun chicken she did not charge for these two meals, the only nice meal out of 3 was the fish pie. Not an experience we will be repeating and would not recommend.

2 nights at the Coach House Inn was a fantastic start to our holliday in Scotland. The whole team made us feel welcome. We had lovely dinners and fantastic breakfasts. Live music at night by Black Velvet was an extra bonus. Close to Loch Lomond, the Trossacs and Stirling Castle.

We visited here for Mother's Day and were very impressed so stopped by again yesterday. Had food from the 2 course for £9.95 menu and it was fab. Mushroom soup was delicious and huge portion, really tasty. Then we had roast chicken, really nice, great portion which we couldn't finish. Kid menu is good too, wee one very happy with her chicken burger!! Staff were lovely, very friendly and attentive. We would definitely recommend this restaurant. Food is fab and great value for money, we'll be back, definitely.

We decided to try this establishment after a friend recommend it to us. There were three of us 2 ordered chicken and sweetcorn soup which was blended unfortunately every mouthful you had the skin from sweetcorn. 2 main courses arrived then were asked was it chips or potatoes on third it eventually arrived as my friends were halfway through there meal. Were never offered vinegar or tartar sauce for fish and steak and ale pie left a lot to be desired. If this is what service is like when quiet I certainly wouldn't like to see it when busy.

Super value for money. Try and go on a Sunday for the jazz. Thoughtful menu and lovely setting in the conservatory. Or cosy down at the fireside for a lovely meal. Chips are wonderful, and the soup is to die for.
