Mauli Village as the name suggests is a small resort with a village theme. They have about 8 rooms in a ground plus one structure. The rooms are not flashy or luxurious but provide the basic amenities with a reasonably sized TV and AC/ non-AC options. The room including the toilet was clean and well maintained. Ajit is the Man Friday of the resort. Beginning with confirming our reservations, he was there to welcome us when we arrived, helped us with our baggage during check-in and check-out, took care of our housekeeping needs and served our meals and breakfast. He even doubles up as the travel guide giving information and direction on places of interest around the resort. Very resourceful person! The surrounding’s have the look and feel of a village with fields and cattle for company. They even had an emu pair that was busy hatching eggs during our visit. Love birds, ducks, turkey, rabbits, hamster, poultry, coconut, chickoo, mango and a host of other trees provide the sound effects and shade to the otherwise quiet and peaceful environment. The dining area is set out in the open, amongst the trees and is different from the indoor eating experience. The food is good including the vegetarian fare. They didn’t disappoint on the sea food either which is a speciality of this region. The owners take pride in the property and are personally involved in its upkeep including interacting with guests. If you are looking for a 1-2 nights break and if luxury is not a priority then this is the place you could head for.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 1st floor look out into the greenery

Booked Mauli on Trip Advisor Rating only...
Good points-Homely place with excellent food. The person in charge is also very smiling and helpful. A small but good place to visit as a group also in the middle of the village. The room they gave was big enough. Also having a open but good shaded place to play.
Improvement Suggestions-The place needs to be maintained. Water Pipes where not working. Bathrooms needs to be cleaned well and need proper up keep. Some Lights were not working. Access Roads to Alibaug are not good especially the road to mauli
To add--No swimming pool or fitness center ,seems like a bungalow converted to a hotel

Room Tip: Some rooms are smaller and having 2 Big rooms only

We, a group of 20 people visited Mauli village, a home stay located in Aiibaug, near the Chondi Phata. It is 20-25 mins away from Mandwa Jetty. It is a 5 min walk from Satirje phata on the alibaug-mandwa road. The staff at Mauli iwas very friendly and helpful.
The property is well maintained and there are mango, coconut and chickoo trees around. I also noticed a Christmas tree in the garden. The rooms as well as the washrooms are very clean. It is very peaceful and serene there. you can hear the birds chirping and at times you can also hear the sound of the waves, though the beach is approx 3 kms away. there are hammocks and cots around for you to relax and curl up quietly with a book.Children can enjoy these. We also enjoyed Cricket & BAdminton. There was facility for carrom also.
The place gives you a feel of a konkan village and the food served there is also konkani, not to mention the prawn curry served was very yummy. Food was served on time for lunch as well as for dinner.
The place is surely value for money. But please remember this place is a home stay and is very different from the regular hotels and resorts.
i would definitely like to visit this place with my family soon and probably spend more time there and just the weekend.

Mauli village is a value for money homesaty; Good konkani style food; great farm ambiance where you can see mango trees and banana trees and roam around nature; courteous and well behaved staff and decent accommodation. The place made our visit to Alibaug more memorable; as a matter of fact more photos that I put on Facebook are of this place than of beaches!

Mauli village is an excellent place for family and friends. The rooms are clean and spacious. The best part is the home cooked food from chicken to fish to mutton. They have a lot of space around to play. The staff is very polite. a must go if you visit alibaug.
