“A gem of place to stay”
Reviewed August 24, 2012

We stayed here for two nights at the end of July. It was so comfortable I wished we'd booked for longer. Hazel and Steve had great suggestions for how we should spend our time in the area. They got just the right balance of being helpful and friendly but letting us have our own space too. They gave us a great recommendation for a eating out in a place we'd never have found ourselves. Croissants were the best I've tasted and beleive me I've had a few! Would recommend it to everyone and will definitely be back!

Hazel and Steve were extremely warm and friendly, and always available to help out or give advice. The room was spacious and comfortable, with everything that was needed. We were very happy with our stay there and would recommend it.

Hazel and Steve are great hosts. They always made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. They were social with us and our kids but also respected our privacy. We were a family of 4 and stayed all in 1 room with a private bath. It was slightly cramped but plenty comfortable. The B&B has been remodeled, so everything is fresh and clean.

We not only had daily breakfast which is included in the price but also had 2 dinners during our stay. The food was home made and great! A nice change from eating out at restaurants every night.

The property also has camping spots so the B&B residents are not the only guests. There is a small bar in the barn which is open at nights. It has a pool table and when we were there, was full every night with guests socializing. Hazel and Steve are British transplants, and most of their guests were also British, so English was the main language.

The property is in between Carentan and Perriers, out in the country. It is very scenic and peaceful.

We had a great 2-week family vacation, and the 4 days with Hazel and Steve were among the best.

We received a fantastic warm welcome from Hazel and Stephen, nothing was too much trouble. It was great having the barn to garage the motor bike each night and all the help with the D Day beach trip. Their home is a wonderful building, the bedroom was spacious with lovely furniture and a very comfy bed. The use of the guest lounge was useful too. All in all a wonderful home from home feeling. Thanks, we have already been telling our friends what a fabulous place it is.

Room Tip: We stayed in Sword room at the front of the property, but I am sure that all their rooms will be equ...

We stayed here for a night off the ferry, on our way to Brittany, to have a look round the Normandy landing beaches. Couldn't have been better - gorgeous idyllic location, very quiet and peaceful, lovely warm welcome from Hazel, spotless and well equipped room, very comfy beds. Best croissants we ate the whole time we were in France! Travelled with our two young boys who were made very welcome. Picked Hazel's brains about what to see for our brief day in the area and her suggestions were spot on, which was much appreciated. Lovely place, stay here if you can!
