We've been to this place 4 times already (since 2008) as a couple and with friends. In each case we picked off-season (April, Sep., Oct.). And we love it - obviously! We rented the appartment(s) and were quite pleased with all the equipment, furnitures etc. Plenty of space, clean bathrooms and great kitchen outfit (as we prefer self-service). The owner is very friendly and helpful. The place is a bit tricky to reach by car (steep road), not dangerous, though, but we'd call it a plus anyway as we like it off the beaten path. Guests should like the outdoors and hiking, as the place is well connected to the hiking trails along the coast and to the trains to Cinque Terre. The next village Montaretto, ca. 2km higher, is "cute" and offers a very nice though small shop for food and a nice little restaurant. The beach at Bonassola is easy to reach by car, of course, and hiking along a scenic path (45 minutes). Daytrips to Pisa, Lucca, Carrara or Genua are a great option within 1 hours drive. But one point is outstanding: The veranda with its sunset views is awsome, the stars at night are stunning. Recharge your batteries!
