Berrio Bridge House B&B
Ranked #10 of 24 Launceston B&B and Inns

We have visited this excellent B and B 5 times in the last 12 months that is how good we feel it is. For rest and relaxation in a wonderful location and surroundings it is hard to beat. The gardens with manicured lawns and lovely quiet seating areas beside the flowing river lynher are so tranquil, watching the occasional fish is hypnotic. The rooms which are suites with bedroom, changing room, lounge and bathroom are large and spotlessly clean with lovely soft Linen and towels. The breakfasts are brilliant, made with local produce served in the sun drenched conservatory(well if its sunny). The hosts will also make your evening evening meals which again were excellent. The final part of my review must be used to mention the hosts Darren and Gill who are without a doubt the best and most welcoming hosts we have ever come across after our many years of travelling the world.

This little B&B has it all. It's quaint but has all the little luxuries you want when treating yourselves to a few nights away. And unusually for a B&B there's lovely meals (and wine!) on offer in the evenings so you don't feel like you have to go out again after sightseeing all day. Gill, the owner is a great cook-try one of her breakfasts and you'll know what I mean! The lovely garden has an enviable position on the river with views over fields and is such a tranquil spot to just sit and relax. This place makes you take stock of what's important in life it's so laid back and tranquil. We're definitely coming back!

We were looking to position ourselves within easy reach of, well, as much of Cornwall as possible. Berrio Bridge provided the perfect location coupled with the opportunity to properly relax after busy days 'out and about.'

What really makes this place stand out is the opportunity to have an excellent home cooked meal in the evening (for a very reasonable price) in comfort that feels like home. No need to seek out the nearest hostelry or restaurant - it's all there on the premises.

The gardens and river are frankly hypnotising and for a 'townie' the clear night sky blew my mind.

We will return!

Room Tip: The room (suite) overlooking the garden is fantastic!

My partner and I recently spent a walking break at this idyllic spot. Situated in a tiny hamlet on the edge of bodmin moor it provided excellent access to the north and south cornwal/Devon l coast plus the moors.
The accommodation was superb. A spacious room with a private well equipped lounge and equally roomy bathroom.the garden was delightful being beside the river and the dining area was a wonderfully light conservatory.
Attention to detail was impressive with generous supplies of quality tea and coffee
The hosts, apparently new to the trade, maintained a perfect balance of friendly/informative good service without feeling like they were intruding on our privacy( it was a romantic break!)
Breakfast was a hearty trad English affair, plentiful and very tasty.
Thank you Darren and Gill for providing the perfect break and location my partner and I needed. We will be back in the spring.

On a recent trip down to Cornwall to visit friends I had the pleasure of staying in this little gem, it was truly delightful. The owners Gill and Darren make you feel so welcome and go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay, lovely hosts, and the food they serve is also delicious! Attention to detail is second to none, what you get for your money is amazing.
