Pat & Robbie have created a warm and friendly home away from home. The thoughtful care they offer their guests is also reflected in every aspect of the Racehorse, the rooms, the restaurant and the inn. We had much to do during our all too few days in North Hill, but our moments of relaxation were enhanced by our surroundings at the Inn. Lovely people, beautiful place. Would love to return one day.

This pub with rooms is situated about 15 minutes from the A30 just outside Launceston in a small hamlet with just a church and a pub, surrounded by beautiful countryside. This was our second visit' on our way to Penzance and just feel so comfortable here. Pat has created really stylish bedrooms (just 3) in the eaves of what used to be the old village schoolhouse, now a pub. Lovely plush carpets and bedlinen, spotlessly clean, mini fridge, a sofa or chairs, decent bedside lights, hot shower .... She will save you a table for dinner unless you let them know otherwise. The menu is simple pub food - I had a really tasty local sirloin steak with fresh mushrooms and proper chips, followed by homemade Baileys ice cream and couldn't fault it. Breakfast is delicious with fresh cooked full English with beautiful quality bacon, yoghurts, cereal, orange juice etc. Pat's ethos is to give her guests the same standard as she would want for herself. The atmosphere in the pub is very friendly and all noise had died by 11 pm. We're stopping off here again in September.

Four of us stayed in the 3 double rooms while sadly attending a funeral in North Hill.
From the moment we walked in we were warmly welcomed by Pat and Robbie and the staff. They could not do enough to make our stay comfortable. The rooms are fitted to a very high standard with sumptious covers and soft furnishings. The whole place shines like a pin and with lots of interesting objets d'art and curios, real fires and comfy seats it is a pleasure to be in.
Food was fantastic, great choice, portions and hot. reakfast was the best ever!
Pat tries to source local produce and meat and the quality really does make a difference.
The lounge bar was a great place to be in the evening with a great mix of visitors and locals.
Very convenient for visiting Padstow, Eden Project, Bodmin etc.
Treat yourself and stay here, you won't regret it.
We are all planning a trip in the summer and we will be staying in The Racehorse Inn again.
