“nice view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2014 via mobile

First we thought it wouldn't be that special because of the small river you need to cross but after a 3 minute walk we were very surprised with the nice looking red sandhill and the view on top of it. You will see the contrast between the green trees, red sand and small river.

“Keep going up to the Fallen Palm Tree!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2014

Great location for pics - see prior reviews for directions or google earth it! You walk IN teh small 4 inch deep river bed inland. It is quite pleasant at first but gets better fast! I took 252 pics - the mix of red sand, white limestone min karsts and the blue skies make for a great set up. Keep going all the way to the fallen palm tree - many walked less than half way and missed plenty of goodies. Enjoy!

“It's free!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2014

We ended up here with our tour. but it was free anyway.
nice little walk through the stream and random cows popping out through the bushes!
I've read you can walk up to the top?? We didn't do this.. Don't be put off by the ugliness of it at first... It gets really pretty!

“Good for a small (tiny) adventure”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2014

Being the adventurous type we ran about 8kms from our hotel to this destination, planning to use it as a 'turn around'. There's a hand painted road sign on the side of the street just where the main drag in Mui Ne crosses the stream. To get 'in' go straight down the bank and into the stream...then follow the water course all the way to the waterfall.

As we found out ....Do not walk over the locals' property next to the stream....

We went early in the morning so it was a very pleasant temperature and there was no one around. The rock/sand stone formations are quite interesting and there are underground springs welling up at the bottom of the cliff, to see if you go looking for them......

The rubbish and pollution at the town end is a shame...We weren't keen to take off our shoes though, even the kind locals offered to mind them for us

“Don't leave Mui Ne without seeing this”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2014 via mobile

We went here with the half day jeep tour but you can easily do it on your own if you rent a moto.
Don't let the initial disgusting dirt road tgat leads you there and the annoying local "tour gide" kids drive you away. Entrance is free. Go before 2pm to avoid the jeep tours.
