Reading reviews from other travellers, we checked it out for dinner, ordered their seafood platter but it was big but wasnt just normal. Seafood restaurants in Saigon are much better...not sure if the restaurant got seafood from Phan Thiet or from Saigon

I have to start of by saying that, sadly, we did not stay at this resort, but we wish we did! Even though this resort is over 11 years old, it is by far the best kept, best staffed and best run place in Mui Ne. We have been staying next door for over a week now and have walked up and down the beach checking out all of the other resorts, but we always, came back to The Sailing Club.
So I cannot comment about the accommodation, which looks great but we did not stay here. However, we did make regular use of the bar and restaurant during our stay in Mui Ne. Te food and quality of service was excellent. The prices reasonable and the location superb. A really lovely place to chill while watching the kite surfers do their stuff. Also the best coffee in the area by far.
If we return, we will certainly book to stay here.
Highly recommended - and I run a guesthouse and would die to have the staffing levels this pace has. 30 rooms and over 90 staff! Only in Asia!

Our evening at Sandals was so dissapointing, given it's rated #1 in Mui Ne. Service was slow, food was terrible. I can imagine it's a good place to go for a sloppy pizza if you have are a large group (and it seemed to be very kid friendly, there's even a play room) but not for an intimate dinner for two. It was also overpriced for Mui Ne. We found much better.

Dear Dominique876,

Thank you very much for taking the time to write your review.

I would like to apologize that your experience in Sandals Restaurant did not reach your expectations. I am very disappointed to read your review as our management team is always available in the restaurant to check guest satisfaction.

You may have come on a particularly busy night over peak season. We do have three different areas in the restaurant where you can sit. We highly recommend bookings are made to ensure you get the table and location appropriate to your dining needs.

Sometimes we do get it wrong but we would love the chance to try and make it right. We welcome the opportunity should you wish to dine in Sandals Restaurant again, please contact me directly so I can assist with the arrangements.

Warm Regards,

Lionel Gattoni

The Mia resprt restaurant is in a great location close to the beach with a great ambience. The service was great and all the staff were very attentive. We had the buffet for 350,000 vnd per person (+ 10% vat and 5% service charge). There was a good selection of 6 salads to start, with the tofu and brown rice and the chilli squid being my favourite. For mains there was another 6 choices including Korean BBQ pork and beef satay skewers. I liked the prawns with bok choi in oyster sauce and the Vietnamese stuffed squid. For desert there was pineapple cake which was lovely, baked pears with mint and dark chocolate which was interesting, fruit skewers and a Vietnamese lentil desert. All in all a good and interesting selection of foods and a good evening out.

We went to Sandals at Mia Resort after having recently stayed at Mia Resort in Nha Trang which was a fantastic experience. This boutique resort group really gets it right. The staff at Mui Ne (like Nha Trang) are relaxed, genuine, pleasant and helpful. The food is very good quality whether eating Vietnamese or Western. The coffees they serve up are as good as any I've had anywhere (my Saeco included). The restaurant has a great beach vista although the seats out front can be exposed to the wind at this time of the year. Ranked number 1 for good reason.
