Red Sand Dune has steep slopes where you can best try the sled for experience. The kids will offer you USD2 but you can further haggle the price down. The quality of the sand is not as good as the white sand dune. You can go to the middle part for good photo sessions. I suggest you to go here early morning or late afternoon as it really gets hot at noon - no nearby shades to go to.

Some red sand dunes. Not much to see here. A lot of trash in the sands and some kids trying to rent you some kind of board to slide down the dunes on. We didn't bother to try. The dunes aren't that high so the slide would only last a few seconds anyway.

We went up on the dunes to watch the sunset and have a few beers but it was to windy. We soon left and went back to the jeeps and back to town.

Well, if you go the white sand dunes 1st, the red one is just normal. But it is on the way going to the white one, so you just might as well stop over for quick photos

Not quite like the White Sand Dunes, wasn't really impressed about this because it's a bit dirty, there were trash in some place (just a bit though). But anyway, it's a good place to watch the sunset. But, the tour would not have been complete without the view from the Red Sand Dunes. You should and still go here the have it the perfect way :)

It's one of the places to visit while in MuiNe (and there aren't that many). Though not all that spectacular, the sunset was quite pretty. Made for some decent photos.
Also, loads of little kids touting sheets to slide down the dunes. MuiNe is extremely windy, so if you're not too keen on getting sand everywhere...(and I mean EVERYWHERE!) go relatively prepared / covered (sunglasses are a good idea to protect your eyes).
