After a long and a hard week at work A meal out, a few drinks in a relaxing country pub, good food, great service, is what we found at the Saham bell, BUT!! Ruined by someone decorating this gorgeous little pub with A CHRISTMAS TREE, Christmas decorations, Chris Rhea! Driving home for Christmas!! Sent me Driving Home! As fast as I could go on a summer evening in July! Shame!

Had the £10.50 lunch which wasn't bad but perhaps could have been a little bit better. Had the garlic mushrooms for starter. followed by the Spanish Steak. For the money it was good value but would have preferred to pay a little bit more and had a slightly better meal .

Would not put me off returning.

Service was very good throughout,

Really enjoy going here for a drink so we decided to have a meal there with friends one Saturday night.

All I can say is you'd be best to avoid the chicken tikka masala (chicken breast topped with sauce out of a tin) and the honey glazed sausages (grilled then dipped in honey?!).

Such a shame as I had high hopes after some nice evenings in the bar but I left really upset at wasting our money on such a poor meal.

Visited this lovely country pub on Good Friday. We ate in the cosy bar but there is also a restaurant. First thing we were aware of was the warm and friendly welcome we received on entering and this atmosphere remained all the time we were there. A very good menu to suit all tastes aswell as specials on blackboards. Our lunch was delicious tasty and fresh and we chose a "light" lunch. We are definitely looking forward to going back for an evening dinner or Sunday Carvery. The entertainment evenings looked fun too. The Bell has character, warmth and fine food. A visit is a must.
