Decent comfortable cottages in the middle of a coffee estate, a little pricy though. The rooms were neat and clean, there was consistant hot water also. The bed and sheet were clean and the TV had lots of channels.

The restaurant had a poor ambience however the food was decent. We reached late in the night and the person in charge was still kind enough to serve us past restaurant closing time.

This is the only and nearest hill station from Chennai, hence you would need to book ahead in advance to get accommodations during vacation time.

Staying in this resort would entitle you to use their ATV rides for a small fee. There's a small track and a bigger one. Was around Rs. 100 per trip and is a must do. It's really fun for first timers.

Had a big and good looking swimming pool, but construction was going on. The garden in the resort also gives decent walking path around the resort.

One big drawback is the resort does not feature cottages with a good view from neither the window or balcony. The only scenery is the coffee estate or the gardens around the resort. One would expect a good view of the valley or mountains when staying in a hill station.

The resort is safe from what I feel and is family and children friendly.

Room Tip: If a view is important then ask for a room which has a patio facing the tea estate.

There were 4 of us - 2 couples and we took the luxury cottage. The place is located within a coffee plantation. The place is serene, calm and peaceful. They have a small kitchen serving delicious food but there is not much variety which is alright when compared to the taste of the food.

There is an All Terrain Vehicle track where you can ride the vehicle over rough land. It's pretty lame, but can try once.

To reach Grange resorts, once you enter Yercaud, take the right turn at the roundabout after the lake. Then take left after Anna Park. Keep going on the road until you reach a T junction. Take a right turn and you will find the entrance to Grange resorts on your right about 100m ahead.

Room Tip: There is a cottage with a sky-lit bathroom; the pictures are available on the website. This cottage is smaller than the others. If you are on honeymoon this will be a great location.

We booked Grange Resort for our two day stay in Yercaud just because there weren't any other place available due to the the long weekend. The initial reviews were not upto the mark about this place and we were skeptical about the place and the facilities. There were not enough reviews and also there were not much of good snaps available to go by. We reached Grange by 12 pm and we were pleasantly surprised by the place as it was vast, clean and with lot of space for our kids to play around. The cottages were a little worn out, but the staff was happy to help us out with whatever we wanted. The service was not excellent but not bad too. The food is expensive but good, and the chef was just happy to serve us whatever we ordered. The swimming pool was damaged and not in use. There was also a dirt bike track, which is better to avoid, as you can take it on a pre-designated track only and it was not exciting at all. But my overall experience in this place was good. My advice to all the people traveling to this place, keep a car on hold. This place is quite far off from the main town and there is not enough cabs that you can find in this place.

This is a nice place in Yercaud. The price is a bit expensive for the place and the food has to be ordered in advance which are the downsides to this place.

The upside is that the cottage is very nice and the trekking is not to be missed. They have a huge property where you can go for a very nice trek.

Overall, not a bad place to stay

This was my first trip to Yercaud. I had planned to drive from B'lore and booked this resort after looking at the reviews here. The place did not disappoint. I had reached around 12 Noon and the rooms were ready. I was shown 2-3 cottages and asked to pick. I picked the first one ...all were the same though.

The resort is very clean and tidy. The bed linen and blankets, though were clean were very old. The TV set if I remember was an old CRT one. It is close to the some biking place where you can walk down and have a ride.

The place gets very cold during the evening. You may want double blankets sometimes.

There was ample parking space too. The restaurant was good and food was prepared on order only.

Room Tip: Any room should be fine there.
