“Beautiful of place to stay”

Stayed at the resort last weekend and loved the experience. Professionally managed and just great. Rooms are big and clean and have all the possible facilities. Management has kept the antique or heritage image of the hotel which makes it more special.

The food is also very nice, not very spicy and tasted like homecooked. Room service is also preety quick but remember they charge 25% extra for room delivery. Breakfast was not complimentary which was annoying a bit. The resort has 70 rooms from studio to hotel unit. We stayed at room 403 which was nice. They have enternmaintent section every day in evening which is quite enjoyable. You have to close room doors by 6 to avoid insects and flies.

Hotel restaurant only serves buffet for al carte you have to order in rooms. Hotel is close to lake and anna park.

Overall it was good experince staying here. Will recommend who all going to yercaud. Only thing check their breakfast, lunch and dinner timings as they look a bit odd.

Room Tip: 1. Room 403 is near to the reception and nice also 2. if ordering tea/coffee then ask them to serve...

Resort was good with coffee plantations & conserving the beauty of the forest..when we entered the room there was a pungent smell which was very unpleasant..rooms clean with the British era type furniture..Food - North Indian veg was average but south indian breakfast & lunch was comparatively good..not much opitions in buffet in camparison to Big Beach..somehow I coudnt find Club Mahindra standards..

Room Tip: Get a room close to the reception..far off rooms are too isolated..

Yercaud is a beautiful clean hill station, we had gone with our little baby for a weekend and being CM memebrs we opted for this hotel. After having read some not-so-good reviews on trip advisor we decided to go with least expectation.
This hotel is very close to the lake. The staff was warm and welcoming. We had booked for a studio(larger room- CM terminology) because of the baby they offered a 'low bed' one and it was pathetic. But because we were ok with a higher cot they changed the room to a better one with a private sit out. They have all rooms with high cots- high means dining table high, there is a small stool to help one climb by every bed. But we finally settled for an HU(a smaller room with a better view and a small balcony- room no. 202).
This was dedicated to Lady Diana and her images irritatingly cluttered the room and walls. If they remove all that it will make a beautiful small room.
The furniture was a bit dusty and the bed was would shake every time one would try to get on and off it. This bed needs a bit of carpentry as we felt a plank on the lower left part was loose, but we didnt complain about it. Matress was comfortable and bed linen was clean.
We had tough time finding TV remote. And only the South Indian breakfast spread was good, besides that they had toast, juice and cornflakes. They have a big menu but they serve only some of the items. Buffet dinner like the breakfast didn't have much variety.
Biryani, Malabar paratha and Murg Malai Kebab were pathetic but edible (we had ordered these from room service).
We had a good lunch at GRT's Salem Height and we also tried Grand Palace's Orange restaurant and Cloud 9 bar for dinner but didn't eat there because there was no ambience neither any view for a dinner.
At Lake Forest hotel, try booking the forest facing rooms but they are a bit of a walk.

We a family of four adults and one child, my granddaughter aged 11 yrs. drove down from Bangalore.to Yercaud by our car. It took four hours to reach there and one hour extra for having breakfast and lunch break. Here lunch timings were a little different as other Club Mahindra hotels / resorts have lunch hrs. upto 3.30pm but here its 2.30pm so we first finished our lunch. Next morning after taking breakfast we went to Shevorayan temple to have darshan, enjoyed boating at yercaud lake which is nearby only. The day we reached was a friday so in the evening movie for kids was shown" Ice Age 4". We took the dinner in our room by ordering food as buffet dinner was to be served and we don't take heavy dinners. Next day lunch we enjoyed at Grand Palace, its also a quite big hotel having good scenic beauty. We had our dinner at GRT hotel which was a nice and good experience, food was tasty. Myself and my spouse ere staying in a Grand Wooden House as it was having many antique articles, woodden floor and same walls also. Next morning we took buffet breakfast at Lake Forest hotel itself, the spread was more having south Indian dishes. But t had toasts, cereals, milk, eggs, juices etc. so one can relish that also. Most of the crowd goes from Bangalore as its not far off and one could visit it during a weekend so people usually check-in on friday and check-out on sunday morning as we did. On saturday evening event manager organised two games for all the visitors and tambola was played. Its a nice break from fast, busy and hectic life of work culture of corporates. The service staff is quite cooperative and helpful. We had a nice time at this resort.

Room Tip: I opted for studio apartment which was nearby restaurant as I find difficulty in climbing stairs. 20...

Visited this affiliate property of club mahindra in October 2012. Though it is nature friendly with old world charm every where, the upkeep of the resort was below standards. The house keeping was pathetic. Agreed that they wanted to maintain the feel of the british era, but it doesnt necessarily mean that they keep the cobwebs also.....
Though very near to the nature and is a good place to visit, the housekeeping services have to improve a lot, nevertheless, the place is quite and serene, built in the mid of a small tea estate by preserving all the furniture of British era.....
Can try......But unlike other club mahindra resorts, the activity center doesnt organize any kind of activities and the upkeep of the resort doesnt match the Club mahindra standards......

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms on the far end of the property, they are a bit better..........

Through Club Mahindra Spent Three Days At this nice hotel at Yercaud. Very good service, rooms. Only problem is entrace to premises. Hope they could make it better. Food is also very good at very very reasonabe price... Staff is very cooperative. Hope with all Hotels collectively try to make this Yercaud hill station more neat clean. Yercaud has natural beauty with forest which could beat many of famous hill stations of India but for cleanly nace it does not look rich. Very good Lake nearby but from Hotel you cannot see Hotel..

This hotel provides a different experience for the stay. British era could be relived here. Not only does it have lot of british era decorations but the whole experience of staying is british. Spacious rooms, heavy teak furniture, big windows with huge curtains etc. Overall service and food was good. There are some indoor activities like carrom but there could be more offered..
