Our party of four loved the authenticity of this property, interesting original features made so comfortable by the standard of renovation. Very spacious and plenty of nooks and crannies so we all had our own space when we wanted. The balcony was a very welcome spot at breakfast time and for pre dinner drinks.
Being in the town square was fascinating, watching the locals go about their day and joining in with fantastic May Day celebrations, the organisation of which was awesome. We loved the stairs leading to the top of the village and the views over the countryside, and the various terraces for wandering in the evening.
We didn't travel far whilst there but Monte Roberto on the opposite hillside was again very interesting and a pleasant walk. You do need a car for further exploring but if you want to just experience real italian life in this part of Italy, it is perfect.
