“Cant wait to go again!!!”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

My husband and I decided to do a small destination wedding. We choose to get married at Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica. From the minute we started planning til our big day, our expectations went above and beyond. The resort was absolutely beautiful. The staff went to the moon and back for us before, during and after our wedding. We had a group of 18 total and everyone in our group can't wait to return. Our wedding coordinator was extremely organized and our wedding photos are SPECTACULAR. We will definitely go back to Sandals in Jamaica. YA MON!!!!!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Penthouse Honeymoon Conceirge Suite and the view was amazing.

We recently spent five days at Sandals Whitehouse celebrating our 30th birthdays, and while the resort was beautiful and we had a pretty good time, the atmosphere wasn't quite what we were looking for and we probably wouldn't go back.

I should say up front that we had no issues with the resort or staff. The grounds were beautiful, the room was fine, the food and service were ranged from average to very good. We never waited longer than 10 minutes for anything, and usually walked right in to restaurants. If you are a fan of all-inclusive resorts, I would imagine you'll love it here. This was our first time at an all-inclusive, and we found that it really wasn't for us.

We were just expecting a different type of atmosphere at the resort. The goal of our trip was to have a quiet, relaxing week at the beach away from our daughter, but I think we were in the minority. I read a review prior to our trip that derided the type of clientele that tended to visit this resort (and all-inclusives in general), and disregarded it as snobbery, but I now understand a little bit where that reviewer was coming from. There seemed to be more groups of middle-aged folks interested in partying loudly than there were honeymooners or couples there to just chill. There was also a wedding party of 20-somethings there - who honestly were not that obnoxious - but they partially took over one pool basically the whole week and certainly didn't contribute to a relaxing environment. Maybe we were unlucky, but we couldn't seem to get away from the noise most of the week.

I realize this is no fault of Sandals and is more of a personal preference thing for us. As I said earlier, the resort is quite nice and we did have a decent time. But if you're looking for a quiet, romantic getaway like we were, you may want to look elsewhere.

This resort is absolutely fabulous! Everything from the rooms to the food to the staff exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the French Villa and loved the view of the ocean and the atmosphere of the pool. The beach and ocean was absolutely breathtaking. There was an excellent variety of food that was extremely impressive. The entertainment staff did an excellent job and the nightly activities were a blast. Trust me when I say that you will not be disappointed with Sandal's Whitehouse! Of course, I have to mention that the bus ride from the airport was the only negative but it was well worth the ride.

Room Tip: The French Villa was amazing!

This is the 5th Sandals we have been to, and we thought the property and service was the best we had experienced to this point. The staff was so friendly and attentive. We have experienced that "island time" exists for most services in Jamaica, but at Whitehouse it was much more attentive. The room was basic, but very clean and fully stocked. Every view is amazing as every room is ocean view. We loved having 3 pools to choose from, each with its own atmosphere. The beach was wonderful, a very long stretch of white sand with plenty of shade and lounge chairs to choose from. We snorkeled once, it wasn't the best snorkeling we have done, but it is free! The food was excellent too, we liked Eleanors and Giussepies the best. The pasty cafe was a nightly stop as well. The drive to and from the airport wasn't the best, but you do get to see a lot of the local culture. Believe me, you forget about it as soon as you get to the property!

From the moment we touched down at Montego Bay Airport Sandals looked after us. The whole experience lives up to the "Luxury Included" strapline.
We were upgraded to a concierge room so we had a fully stocked bar and dinner reservations were made for us on a daily basis.
There is a great choice of dining options to suit every palate and you can be as casual or as formal as you choose.
The beach bars were fantastic and the bar tenders were both attentive and entertaining. Unlike some other all inclusive resorts branded drinks and cocktails are available all day.

There is a good variety of water sports and the staff are highly experienced. I would recommend the free glass bottomed boat tour. The additional cost excursions are also good, the sunset catamaran reggae tour is an absolute hoot.

I cannot remember the names of the waiting staff but they were all fantastic and were genuinely interested in their customers and were proud of the Sandals marque.

The piano bar was entertaining of an evening, however the arranged evening entertainment was a tad lackluster.

Overall it was a fantastic experience and we will be back. It was actually May 11 we were there

We have just spent 2 fantastic weeks at Whitehouse and it exceeded expectations. We have been to Sandals Montego Bay twice & that is also fabulous but Whitehouse has a little more luxury feel about it as the grounds are amazing.

Rooms which I believe are mostly all the same were large & cool with a large bathroom. The balcony was I bit on the small side but adequate.

Food was always very good & with the exception of a couple of nights which were extremely busy was always served with first class service.

The staff are very professional & always have a smile for you. The Playmakers make sure you have fun. No complaints about housekeeping always clean & tidy room. The repeat guest dinner was really good they went to a lot of effort to make it so with a little twist at the end.

Pools were clean. Main pool was the fun pool with swim up bar, hot tub & activities, Italian was a small quite pool, Dutch was larger & relaxing with hot tub & the French had a swim up bar & had pool volleyball. Only down side was the butlers reserved sun beds in prime spots for their guests who sometimes never showed up all day but there were usually enough sun beds for everyone both at pool & on beach

Evening entertainment in the theatre was OK but a bit monotonous. We chose to sit & chill on the large terrace area most nights where there are fire puts & plenty of comfy seats with usually singer or group playing

I could go on forever as everything is so good. Oh I forgot the 3+ hours travel to & from airport (it's soon forgotten once you see the resort)

Down side no free wifi - $15 per day is a bit expensive

I had the time of my life.......

Just returned from two weeks at Whitehouse and had a fantastic time but have 2 comments
1, Get rid of the peacock birds - evidence of these mobile dump machines (often trod in) is seen on the walkways and in the public areas.
2, Internet charge of over $12 a day is insulting and taking the P - let's see free Wireless throughout the resort

Will be back all the same.
