“Nice setting; over-priced”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2012

Casa Nuri is in fact in Riumar, 12km east of Deltebre. It is on the banks of the Ebro near to the river mouth, and may be of interest to bird watchers in particular. My wife and I went there for dinner.

For starters I had the prawns in chili-garlic ('gambas al ajillo) and that was excellent. My wife's fish soup was rather bland. Then we were convinced by the waiter to splash out on the wild sea-bream and sea-bass; one done in the oven and the other in a salt crust. He filleted them at the table. The crust seems not have been dampened properly before baking because it was crumbly (instead of rock hard and breaking into large pieces) which meant that salt grains impermeated the fish. This was made worse because the waiter was inept at properly filleting the fish, so we were continuously extracting bones from the plate and our mouths.

I would suggest that you stick to the recommendations of other posters .... have the less exotic offerings like the paella, but by all means try the 'gambas al ajillo'.

“Wonderful paella! Go here and leave those tourist traps alone!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2012

Recommend by locals we tried the casa nuri paella with chicken and seafood. wonderful! After all, it's right in the middle of the rice fields. To get over the feast, we took a little boat ride on the delta.

“Yummy Paella and great service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 14, 2011

Went to this restaurant in a big group with my Study Abroad program and we had paella mixta and it was great. They brought it out in a giant paella pan and then served it to all of us (about 75 in the group) it included a salad as well as dessert. Best paella I have had in Spain

“Great Place for lunch in an idyllic spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2011

Very very busy on a sunday. Full of locals ordering various paellas and other food either fished or shot in the delta

OK its busy and noisy and packed but it is an auethentic experience.

The cost is brilliant may 15 Euro each. If you can eat better than this for less I do not know where

Why not eat lunch and cycle off an explore the delta of the ebro it is beautiful and bikes are easy and cheap to hire

You can even take a 45 min cruise on a boat.

A great day out worth the trk from Barcalona, Tarragona or Valencia
