“A Cultural Jewel”
Reviewed July 15, 2012

This is The place to visit to immerse yourself in Irish culture.
There is a school house, fishermans cottage, shop/bar, etc all brilliantly presented
to show life in a small village of the time.
The huge number of exhibits make this a very worthwhile experience.
There is a great gift shop with items for every taste and pocket!
The cafe is very good value and the 'Soup' is a must!
Whilst we were there Daniel O Donnell was visiting and seemed very impressed
he told us it wasn't his first visit and wouldn't be his last.
If you want to peek into the past this is for you.

“This delightful local museum provides an insight into a way of life that, for the most part, no longer exists.”
Reviewed May 15, 2012

Things have changed so drastically in Ireland over the past 25 years and unfortunately, the way of life that existed in rural Ireland for centuries is rapidly disappearing. This museum shows how area residents used to live in the distant (and not too distant) past. The grounds features authentic thatched roof houses as well as folk art and photographs.

“Folk Village”
Reviewed April 23, 2012

Lovely Experience - interesting to see how people lived in Ireland right up to the not-so-distant past. Very friendly staff and spectacular scenery around and about. Make sure to visit if you're in the area for the Cliffs or beaches.
