Reviewed March 11, 2014

Nostalgia & great scones!
If you are in Golden Bay or Collingwood you have to take the trip out to the Langford General Store, historic it is and the homemade scones and tea served in best china, in a must, wander around the post office, current and old buy some home preserves and perhaps a bit of china to remind you of the time before mugs!! Nostalgia, you can’t beat it and here is comes with a great smile and a great dollop of care!

“Don't miss visiting the Langford Store”
Reviewed February 9, 2014

The Langford Store opened in 1928 as a country store and Post Office. Much of the original facility is still in place. Sukhita Langford and Will Hutchison have poured their hearts and souls into the place for the last 5 + years. You have to see it and enjoy the coffee and treats, the art gallery and so much more to understand how very special it is.

“Great peek into yesteryear”
Reviewed December 21, 2013

One of our most interesting & pleasant 'finds' whilst in the South Island last month.
Great coffee, tea & scones. Spent quite a while there looking at the store, gallery & old Post Office with all its keepsakes of past times. Just loved it & well worth the detour
