Beautiful venue right on the beach - Seagull's Song. Several small items were broken/needed repair, i.e. toilet seat, bedside lamp, etc., which should have been picked up by cleaning staff, however, a call to Heidi got it sorted out. Certain cleaning was superficial - tables not wiped down properly and still sticky presumably from previous occupant. Towels removed and not replaced during week - just slight irritations which can be easily managed. What was irritating was the next door occupants parked their car in our driveway for the whole of our stay - luckily there was another access and we didn't have 2 cars otherwise there would have been a problem.

Generally the resort offers good value for money when camping (landry was a bit steep). The sites are nicely developed and maintained. Good cover is provided against the elements and wind. Staff was very kind and professional - especially in the bar and restaurant, where good well prepared food was served. Draught beer was a total plus!(the Chrismas Lunch was excellent)

However there are a couple of small issues.

1. The area where we camped was serviced by a badly designed ablution facility. The washing area was close to the male ablutions - not making for gentle background music when you are washing you dishes.

2. Cleaning of the ablution facility was not all that consistant

3. There is only one entrance to the Beach which means a substantial walk for those staying close to the bar area.

If the ablutions could be improved - this would be a world class camping site

Stayed at Cape St Francis resort (golf course) in May for 2 nights and am heading back next May for even longer. The location is superb and the golf course is (in my opinion), one of the best links courses I have seen anywhere in the world. The lodge is located on the golf course with spectacular views. Word of advice for the golfers (don't stray into the rough). Very safe and secure would highly recommend for singles or couples who are golf orientated. Probably not a great family location (but then again, you never know). Make sure you check out the clubhouse. The views and decor are something you will never forget.

Room Tip: Get a first floor room as opposed to a ground floor room if possible to capture the stunning views.

I have stayed at Cape St Francis Resort a couple of times before and have had the opportunity to try our a couple of the veriety of accommodation they have on offer. This time around I had the opportunity to staty in their 3 star Club Break rooms. The rooms are huge and well equiped for self catering purposes. The bathroom are big and spacious and a couple wouldn't get in each other's way if they had to get going quickly in the morning. People like the first commentor must keep in mind though that Cape St Francis Resort is a resort and not a typical hotel. Also the star grading is self catering star grading and not a full service hotel. The restaurant served a fantastic dinner and breakfast was more than I have at a lot of hotels before. The direct access to the beach is convenient if one doesn't still want to drive to the beach or walk a long distance.

Room Tip: Enquire about specials when you book
