We had a very enjoyable stay and the cottage is well equipped and comfortable.
There is lots to do in the area.
Torpenhow is a lovely little village off the main road, nice and quiet,it's a great base for exsploring all of cumbria.
We had a lovely view of the coast and nice to sit outside in the back garden, our dog loved it, very dog friendly.
Overall a very clean and comfortable cottage, will come again.
Had another fantastic stay in cottage 1. Lovely accommodation, very spacious and very well equipped.
Only a 10 minute drive to Keswick for local amenities and only 1 mile to the lovely greyhound inn pub which does lovely food at a great cost (the himemade chips are yummy)
What a great location to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Plus viv and Chris were very helpful with anything we needed. Can't wait to visit again thanks x
We absolutely loved staying here for our first time! The cottage is absolutely beautiful, well equipped with DVDs, Xbox, games and books for those rainy days. The cottage was incredibly clean when we arrived. The communication with the owner was also brilliant. The views from the back garden are stunning and we had peace of mind that the kids and dogs were safe too! A very quiet little village the local pub 'The greyhound' only a mile away was also spot! I would highly recommend this cottage to couples or families as it is very spacious and well set out! Although the cottage is set within a quiet village it's only a 20 minute drive to Keswick or Cockermouth and around half an hour to the Solway Firth. Lots to do and explore round about.
We will most definately be booking again for next year!!!
We stayed with our two young children and two dogs and found the cottage well equipped ,clean and with the most cosy and homely feeling .Great views out the back and everything you needed wax there .Minor gripe for us was garden was not secure for dogs as gate was off ,and was a strange smell in kitchen .But it was warm and cottage shut up all day .Would recomend ,but a fair way from Keswick and worth noting that pub in next village is shut on Monday.

Good location close to Keswick,
bedrooms comfortable & nice large lounge-diner. Good views from small back garden.
Could do with wifi to bring up to requirements of a family.
