We sre twentysomething newlyweds who visited Armathwaite for a 3 night stay (13-16th Jan 2020) after marrying in Lancaster and could not have been more pleased with what we found.
From the moment we arrived until the moment we left the service was impeccable, the surroundings delightful and the food exquisite.
Every sitting in the LakeView restaurant is a culinary experience to behold - both breakfast and dinner were phenomenal and we were impressed to see items on the menu change during our 3 day stay. To put it into perspective, we ate at a Michelin starred restaurant the day after Armathwaite and the Lake View food was definitely just as good!
We had an upgrade on arrival, our room was absolutely beautiful and we were in awe of the stunning building throughout our stay.
We enjoyed spa facilities which we found to be extremely clean and well-kept and also enjoyed walks by the Lake and wandering to nearby Lakes Distillery and Pheasant inn when the weather was good enough.
The hotel was lovely and quiet - staff remember your room number and really can't do enough for you. The cocktail bar and lounge is gorgeous, we will be back!
Thank you for making our honeymoon so special.

My husband & I stayed here for the first time on a 1 night spa-dinner-breakfast package and were not dissapointed! Everything was prefect from start to finish.
We were greeted at reception by Nora, who was very friendly & welcoming - she couldn't do enough for us!
As it was our wedding anniversary, we were upgraded free of charge to a luxury room, with handmade chocolates and a hand writen card in the room on arrival, plus a hand decorated dessert brought to us at dinner.
We chose a 55 minute full body massage which was so relaxing, followed by a glass of prosecco in the outdoor hot tub.
We could not have asked for anything better from our stay, and are already planning our next visit!

Loved the relaxing atmosphere and experience. The infinity bath was the high point with the beautiful backdrop and trees lit up at night.
Food was very nice and a very generous portion. All the staff were friendly and nice to speak to.
Hopefully will visit again soon, work permitting and stay over night.

I had a lovely stay at Armathwaite Hall. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. A special mention goes to Claire and Sarah in the Spa who were great therapists. They made me feel comfortable and I returned home relaxed and pampered. Thankyou..

I am so pleased we booked Armathwaite Hall for our daughter's wedding. As promised it was magical and everything we could have wished for. Kelsey the wedding planner worked with us going through all the details so we were totally relaxed on the day and could completely enjoy ourselves.
On arrival Tamar the receptionist was very helpful and the offer of a glass of sherry went down very well after a long journey.
Morning of the wedding we were absolutely amazed to find the Broadwater Suite set up completely by 8.30am by Hansi the operations manager. What a star!
Armathwaite Hall is quite rightly a busy place but with the planning by Kelsey we enjoyed a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend as a wedding venue.
